Yeah that's really true. And even though I like strategy, I thought that even on the hardest setting Utawarerumono was really easy.

Really? My team got their butt whopped quite a few times on the first hard mode for me lol. At first I reset when even one of my characters died, but then I finally let that go when I got myself to accept that you don't really lose anything when that happens. More than a few times I got game over from Hakuouro kicking the bucket.
