Film!

Post by Kira » March 8th, 2008, 8:58 am

Okay well I figured we don't have a straight film tread. You can discuss upcoming movies, movies recommendation, past fave...whatever. Hey even got a question about a movie your unseen about, trust me, I have great tastes, lol.

Well most films that are about to come here already are on dvd in lost of other lands.
There is this movie i saw a preview about and the preview sucked big time but the comentator was very positive about the movie i only forgot the name :swt: It's about a man who is about to have a divorce and his daughter asks how he met his mom. He tells her tree stories about the three loves of his live. It sounded kinda sucky to me but if someone saw it is it a good movie? If the comentator was right nad it was indeed a incredible good movie i maybe will go see it.

okay Yeah I know which movie you're talking about.

Definitely, Maybe.

A thirtysomething Manhattan dad is in the midst of a divorce when his 10-year-old daughter, Maya, starts to question him about his life before marriage.

Starring Ryan Reynolds.

I really wanted to go see "I Am Legend" but didn't got the chance. Should I go out of my way and rent it?

Okay, z2k kinda brought up a sore subject in my poll...

See, I am weird when it comes to my generation of film makers. Your getting guys that grew up on Rambo and completely missed the point of Rambo and just wanna make mindless senseless violent movies. I grew up on and like 60s-80s cult B movie action films. But even those movies had points. See this is were I start drift and get frustrated. I like stories, I like char development, I like dialogue. Hence people tell I should write a novel, or better yet a comic, since I like that world, and my films can work as a comic as well. But I like film, I like the innocents it can bring. I am 23yrs old, but when I watch a movie, I'm 5yrs old again. I'm cheering for the good guy.

I was talking to a friend, well call her Bunny (Not you Freya, lol) I told her my ideas, and like z2k...its been done before, horribly... that really...sorry, but that pisses me off. I not like those people, I know what I like. I know the mistake they made. They only target 13-30...that makes me made too, when studios only target a group. I wanna make film for all ages. I want everyone to see it and think as they watch it. I like detective stories, especially the one where the Cop and "crook" start to play games with one another, they start a rivalry. Its the Reason Why I liked Light and L so much! I still think it should have been L!
