Anime Detour

Well, tomorrow morning we leave for anime detour, I'll try to get some pictures and let you know how things went. see you Monday.

Well, the world, as we know it, has come to an end. (The theme of AD this year). We had a great time, I spent to much money. My son spent more. The Charity auction took in over 10,000 dollars, a record for cons of this size, beating the old record by over 4 grand.The Red Cross likes anime fans. Had some good times with the guests, I recorded the cosplay so maybe I'll have some good pictures of that. I'm a poor photographer, maybe I'll have better luck taking frames out of the video. Too tired tonight to work with the picts, and I'll have bookwork to do tomorrow, but I'll get to this as soon as I can. JH took lots of picts, I think, so I'm sure he'll have some to share too.

This was my big purchase for the Red Cross Charity auction. I spent $105 for the box for the anime Texhnolyze. I already have the dvd set so now I have the art box, signed by many of the voice cast and others. Carrie Savage voiced the girl Ran. She is a good friend of ours. My son spent somewhere around 500 for things like wall posters and a stuffed Maromi head, all signed by cast members.

P.S. Oldwrench, did you noticed alot of Alices from "Alice in Wonderland"? Why do you think that was?

Yes, you're right, a lot of Alice's, but who knows why. There were a lot of good cosplayers, I just didn't get a lot of picts. I'm going to take some screencaps from my videos, but haven't time now, grandkids are here.
