There are so many things that come around, we mever see most of them. If you have seen something new or interesting, let us know about it.
How about this one, a pc computer kit that will fit in an empty 5 1/2 inch drive bay in your computer case. Made by Via, the Artigo is based on their tiny pico itx mainboard. http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/embed ... o/10j.html

It uses a 1GHz processor, and can handle up to 1gig of ram, and a 2 1/2 inch hard drive. The board is pretty amazing with onboard audio and video, lan, a SATA port, even a header for a multimedia card. The whole thing only runs around 12 watts of power. No internal optical drives, you need to use usb external drives, though the ide header will support two drives.
I'm really thinking of getting one of these, a pocket size pc for around 500 bucks. With linux for an os it would make a nice multimedia unit to take along. Now who was it that's developing that micro sized led powered projector?

Is that a computer in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
Sorry, but someone had to say it.

Hmmm, Western Digital green power hard drives. made to save power, variable rotational speed and head parking at idle to reduce drag. Some other tweeks to keep the noise lower. I just got one from newegg, 90 bucks for a 500g oem drive. I also got a external enclosure, eSATA and USB2. I'm formatting the drive now, the eSATA caused my computer to lock up, might be from the lack of formatting, the drive was seeking continuously. I'll try it again after it's formatted. 110 bucks for an external 500g g drive isn't bad. Now I can back up my whole computer, and save the environment........ well, at least a few watts.

Wanting to get my hand on a sub-notebook. Either the Everex Cloudbook or the Asus Eee PC 701. I have no money right now, that's why I didn't got one, but now I'm glad I didn't. Asus is launching the Asus Eee PC 900 in May 12 and Everex announced the Cloudbook MAX, packing a lot of power in that small, light design. Now I can't decide wether to get the Asus now or wait for the more powerful Cloudbook MAX till next year...
