It's cold, for our standards, at around 24ºC (that's around 75 for you fahrenheit people). It's actually good, I guess since it's not hot anymore, but now EVERYTHING has this layer of sand on it if you leave it unattended for more than 30 minutes. As all of you surely know, that can kill a computer pretty quickly.

:sob: I might not be able to come here for a while, my computer somehow got a HUGE virus (pretty sure that means my little brother) that may destroyed it completely. I'm currently typing this as fast as possible in order to try and tell you guys whats wrong before It's too late. If you can (or actually it's more dependant on if I can get back on here) please post the best and most reliable virus-destroying software that you use in an attempt to fight back the invading forces.

Avast antivirus (http://www.avast.com) with Super Anti Spyware (http://www.superantispyware.com/) and Comodo Firewall (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/). All of them have free versions and will leave your windows box almost bullet-proof. That or you can switch to Ubuntu, it's faster, safer, looks nicer and, most important, it's FREE.

Agito, you should restart in safe mode, hit the F8 key when it starts to post, then use the restore function in xp to go back to before the virus attacked.

Real bummer, just back from my trip, and my aunt died. Now, should I drive the 430 miles to attend her funeral. Seven and a half hour drive to get there, then the same to get home again. It's a long way to go, and I have so much to do here....... I really liked my aunt..... darn decisions. Wonder what flying costs.

A funeral is the last place I want to go.

Definitely "format c:" followed by a clean reinstall of everything. If you need something to back up your data before reinstalling, search the net for "Daves Ultimate Boot CD"

There is no bullet proof antivirus, not even all available antivirus software chained together will do that. Eventually wounding your little brother will help, depending on when you chose to stop...

Glad to here it Agito. Another very highly rated protection program, from PC tools, if ThreatFire. It works differently than other antivirus and spyware programs. The free version is the one they say to get.

http://www.threatfire.com/?version=3.0.14.16&

Also, now that I'm home, I got a cold, darn.

Now that She is up at Rachel's house babysitting Leilani for them, She gets my cold.

Also, She told me that since she is gone "all" this week, I should clean the carpets. Hmm, let's see, three rooms of carpets to clean, all the stuff in the rooms to move into the other room while you clean that room, two days to dry, just tonight and tomorrow night, (counts on fingers) it just doesn't pencil out. Well, I got her work room cleaned tonight anyway.

Darn, the wife got sick while caring for our granddaughter, while the daughter was in the hospital with the new one. Now I have her home and have to take care of her.......... you'd think she was dying or something. Yes, I can cook and clean if I have to.
