Well, that's a bummer. Maybe it will be available on some other site.

Just purchased and watched When Marnie was There, a Ghibli anime movie. It's an interesting story of a socially inept and outcast girl. She has been raised by relatives since her parents died when she was young. She feels that she is unwanted. Because of poor health, she is sent to stay with people in the country, by the sea. She discovers an old abandoned mansion on the coast and is drawn to it....... but is it really empty?

This is a story of friendship and of a young girl searching for her place in this world. A ghost story, with an interesting ending. A good movie for the family I think our resident Kitty would give this a paws up rating.

Oh, wow, this brings memories! Now, as for what I recommend at the moment:
  • The Apothecary Diaries: Ancient China, poisons, mysteries, convoluted family trees, solid action, side-splitting comedy... this one is a MUST WATCH.
  • Ascendance Of A Bookworm: This one is an Isekai, but it's an interesting one. The only thing the protagonist wants to do is to create and democratize books, and she will stop at nothing to achieve her goal!
  • Mushoku Tensei: I know there's a lot of hate online for this, but I honestly can't figure out why. The characters have DEPTH, real motivations, and believable reactions. The protagonist is dragging a lot of baggage from his previous life (yes, it's an isekai as well) that is actually treated in a pretty mature way by the autor and animators (even if the protagonist himself acts like anything but an adult).
  • MF Ghost: The direct sequel to Initial D. 'Nuff said.
  • Aldnoah.Zero: Glorious mecha action and a underdog that's not ashamed to hit below the belt. Also, the second ending song is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED ("aLIEz", by Hiroyuki Sawano)
  • The Saga Of Tanya The Evil: An isekai that didn't even need the trope to shine, it actually stands on its own for the sheer and absolute disrespect that the protagonist has for her enemies (and sometimes even her allies). She puts Canada to shame when it comes to committing acts that will end up in treaties as war crimes.
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph... because good is DUMB!
