Here the sun shines occasionally, but it's not really spring yet either..

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Oldwrench. On the plus side she was 89 so that means she lived a long and full life. She even got to see and I assume play with her great grand kids. Not everyone is that fortunent.

Mom had 6 kids, 28 grandkids and last I knew, 32 great grandkids. she got to see most of them. She did get to see all of my grandkids. She was a great lady and I knew her for 62 years...... I'm a lucky guy.

I have to drive to Milwaukee for mom's funeral. We're supposed to leave after lunch, and now it's snowing and sleeting like crazy. Ah, spring in Minnesota, isn't it great.

Spring? This is Minnesota. Mother nature just called and she decieded to cancel summer this year. We are just going to head right back into winter.

Also does that mean you are going to miss AD?

I'll miss day one of Anime Detour. It was a difficult drive from here for the first hundred miles. There were more cars in the ditch than I think I've ever seen before. Driving home today was just fine, except for fighting the wind all the way.

Mom was put to rest, most of my family was there. It was a very nice service and comforting to know mom is now with our Lord in heaven.

Well AD is now over and I am dreading my next credit card Statement. $250 for the room for two nights + $100 for artist alley fanart + $300 for the carity auction = being in debt for the next few months. Looks like I will be eating alot of ramen.

Poor broke JH........ I think you"ll survive. We all went through tough times.

Yup, we got the snow, several more inches. It's about time this winter ends. I don't think we get spring this year, just right to summer.

Yes this was taken April 23....... not February 23 Where is spring????

Maple syrup cooking has ended. We made over 50 gallons of syrup....... that's around 2000 gallons of sap.
Now only the cleaning up is left, about 300 pails to open and wash out.

I have to fly to Denver for a wedding this weekend....... at least the weather is good.

You know that good weather I mentioned, it's just teasing. Forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, colder, rain and snow mix....... yes, that evil S word. It's May! There should be leaves on the trees!
