Generally any animated work should be best in it's original language, if you can understand it. I really envy you people for being able to learn and converse in more than one language. I am either too dumb, or to lazy to be able to do it........ probably both......... Yes, I did take foreign language in school, two years of German and five years of Latin. I use to know a little German, almost enough to converse a bit. I have forgotten it all.
I'm not a very big fan of subtitles, particularly fansubs which are notoriously bad. I have a hard time reading the lines and trying to make anything of the action. I only watch subs if there isn't a dub, or if the dub is particularly bad, in which case the sub usually isn't much better.
At anime detour con, I once asked one of the Japanese anime creators what he thought of his work being dubbed into English. If he thought we should be watching it in the subtitled version. He replied that he couldn't understand why we would want to waste our time reading subtitles when we could be watching the animation and listening to it in our own language.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
