*Grey sign looking at the group,they were ignoring him*

Grey: Yo! does anyone of you know how to operate a mecha?

*when they all look at him with a dumb look he sighn,he look at maythan who smirk back at him*

Grey:so we really are at a disavantage...*scratch his head*does anyone know a lil bit?

[Zeratul2k]

* Ryu and Ursula joined the group just as Ryu was talking. *

Ryu: Sorry about that, man, I just wasn't ready.

Grey: Ok...

Ryu: And yes, I do know some of the basics. Our friend Tan here knows some as well, I think, but I don't know about the others.

* Victoria stopped Grey as he was about to talk. *

Victoria: Then you better pay attention to what I'm going to say. First of all, for a machina to use it's full power, the pilot and IC need to be in perfect harmony. That means the two have to share their goals, passions, likes, dislikes...

Grey: But that's impossible. I mean--

Victoria: Let me finish, Mr. Leonhart. Anyway, you won't be asked to reach that level yet. Even the pros can only get to that level after years of training and experience. For now, all you need to know is that each of you will have to share a goal with your partner. Today, that goal will be to defeat your opponent. Now, on for the interesting part... Mr. Leonhart, could you explain how to pilot a machina, please?

* Ryu shuffled his feet, feeling thankful his aunt didn't decide to ask him, even though he kind of knew. *

Grey: Yes, well... the best way I can describe it is that it's kind of like driving a bike. The machina will answer to the commands you give it using the physical controls, within certain limits, of course. I'm sure all of you have seen the inside of a cockpit at least once...

Victoria: And if you haven't, you'll get a chance to today.

* Some of the ones in the group winced at the way Victoria said those words, like it wasn't going to be a pleasant experience. *

Victoria: Now, the role of the IC is to keep check of the status of the machina. You are going to be close and personal with the machina's inner workings, hearing and seeing what it hears and sees. If you are sufficiently attuned to it you will even feel what it feels and be able to talk to it. That's why the IC is important: they relay the needs of the machina to the pilot, and the thoughts of the pilot to the machina so the three can work together.

Nila: However,in a real mech if a pilot and an IC isn't attuned it could damaged both physically and mentally on the ic and pilot....Luckily it's a soul finder but still be careful

*Nila said thinking loudly,she look up to see stares on her as she was passing by with a bucket of water*

shala : are you saying we can't handle a soul finder??i for one wouldn't follow an amateur

Nila: It's true i am an amateur..but one should be careful especially when concerning goals,sorry to interupt

* Ryu looked at Nila as she spoke. For someone that isn't interested she sure spends quite a lot of time near the students and mechs, he thought. Ursula was examining the rest of the group, wondering just how good they were. Grey was also looking at Nila. Staring, would be a better word for it. He seemed lost in his own world as Nila walked by, explaining the dangers of treating machina lightly. *

Victoria: I think that's enough for now. Since Mr. Leonhart and Ms. Minx have more experience, why don't you two go first?

* Shala nodded and waited for Grey to move, but he just stood there, staring at Nila. Shala cleared her throat once. Then again, louder. Finally, she elbowed Grey and stomped towards the Soul Finder. Ryu looked at them, smiling. *

Ryu: That isn't a good start...

[Raine]

Rick: Eyes off the girl,waay oout of your league

*jumps into his mech along with emma*

Miss ashley:I heard what you said to him

Maythan: who?

Miss ashley :Rick...you know that would make miss Kytes very angry at anderson

Maythan: i have no idea what your talking about miss ahsley

*In the soul finder shala was glaring at Grey*

Shala : hmpf! lets show the flower girl what were made of Grey!!

[Zeratul2k]

Grey: Ok...

* Show her what we are made off, that doesn't sound so bad... Grey jumped into the cockpit, grinning amply. *

Grey: Let's do this, Shala. Don't hold anything back.

Shala: Are you sure about that? We might be going against a real mech, but going full out can be a little...

Grey: That's precisely why we must go all out.

* Shala sighed as she jumped into the IC Pool. The Soul Finder stood up slowly and everyone in the field began stepping back. On the other side of the field, Rick's and Emma's machina straightens up as well. Ryu looked at the two machinas, thinking hard. *

Ursula: See anything weird?

Ryu: Not really. I was just wondering what where the specs of the Soul Finder. I know the Gespenst is a weak mass produced machina, but what aun-- Ms. Deis said makes me think the Soul Finder isn't that strong either...

* Rick assumed a defensive position as Grey lunged forwards. He was caught off guard by Grey's speed, but recovered quickly enough to push him away and start attacking. Grey did his best to defend while looking for an opening and attacked as soon as he saw one. He tackled Rick down and pummeled away at his thorax area. *

Emma: Do something, already!

Rick: How about this!?

* Rick maneuvered on the ground so he could get his legs between Grey's machina and himself. Once he could get them in, he punched the thruster button. The thrusters on Rick's Gespenst fired up while he kicked Grey away and both machina's where propelled to opposing sides of the field. Rick recovered quickly, standing up before the machina stopped moving backwards, but in Grey's Soul Finder, the shock had been too much for Shala. She lost consciousness and Grey lost control of his machina. It landed over a flower patch, near Nila. *

[Raine]

*Gasps could be heard,Ricks mecha stepped back*

Nila:....my flowers*she clenched her fist and stomped to the mech as grey opened the hatch Nila jumped inside just in time for grey to take shala out,she kneel down checking her pulse*

Nila: phew!she fainted*she shot grey an angry look and grab his collar*

Nila:What were you thinking!?!going at full power like that!!!..idiot!!*she bit her lower lip*how dare they!!!

[Zeratul2k]

Grey: But, what else can we do? It's not like we can just stand there and let them beat the crap out of us!

* Nila shot him a glare again and he kept silent. Two medics arrived and Grey helped them move Shala off the machina. He looked at Rick's machina on the other side of the field, fists clenched. *

[Raine]

Nila : ...ok. just this once..*she turned and poke him* But if your not able to handle me shut it down...understand

Victoria outside was saying simulation has ended
*Not waiting for an answer she pressed a red speaker button*

Nila: sorry,Rick I am going to pulverized you!!

*as she said that she push Grey on his sit and jump into the ic pool once she was inside the soul finder stood up and the ic pool light up.*

Nila:...eh?what is this??.....system activated fully?I see...hey what's your name?

*Maythan smile as the device in Miss Ashley kept beeping,the woman's eyes nearly fell down*

Miss Ashley; sir!!a reaction from Aeon but at this distance....unbelievable...that boy matched Nila

Victoria; interesting...

* Ryu saw Nila jumping into the mech with Grey and, after a few seconds, the ruckus near principal Maythan. He looked back at Grey's mech again. What are the chances of something like that happening on the first day? he thought while wondering if to keep watching or leave already. Grey looked around the Soul Finder's cockpit while answering. *

Grey: I'm Grey Leonhart. But that's not important right now, is it? Let's go!

* Grey lunged forwards again, catching Rick off guard yet again. Still, he managed to block the first attack. *

Rick: The same tricks won't work twice!

Emma: Watch it, down and to the left!

* Before Rick could react, Grey had maneuvered his mech around him. He elbowed Rick's mech hard in it's lower section and something made a nasty cracking sound. *

Ryu: And theeeere goes the hip armor...
