Hideki: ... yeah... friends.
* Hideki stopped the car and looked at her for a second, then opened the door and jumped out. *
Hideki: We have to go on foot from here, to avoid the traps. Follow me.

Re: Inshou (Gakkou 2nd Season)
Hideki: Well, I don't think there are many monsters around here... there are traps and automatic guns all over the place, left by the military when they thought this place was the source of the monsters.
* Hideki suddenly stopped and looked to his left, noticing a laser receptor. He looked in the opposite direction and saw an automatic gun camouflaged in a pile of rubble. He pointed it to Rina and walked around it. *
Hideki: ... the more intelligent monsters avoid this place because of that.

Rina:..don't you find it weird?
*stops walking, with one hand on her hip and another under her chin*
Rina:Monsters keep evolving....no,evolving isn't the right word since each of them have different abilities and are from different breeds....it's like new ones appeared out of nowhere
*looks up at the sky*
Rina:you hardly see birds anymore....

Re: Inshou (Gakkou 2nd Season)
*Mike finally got up, he decided he had to get it over with. Time to talk with Aki.*
*Aki looked down at Samuel. She didn't know how to answer Kelly. She wanted very badly to go home, to see her parents, and what Kelly had told her just reinforced her need to go back. But how could they leave the neko people. If they didn't have the foxfire enhanced arrows, they would soon be overrun by the monsters.*
Aki: I don't know Kelly. I want to go home, but I cant just leave. It's not that simple..... but there must be a way. I...... I have to talk with Mike. I can't answer you right now, Kelly.
*Mai came back with more of the herbs, and some hot tea. She offered Kelly some tea as Aki left to look for Mike. Aki met Mike out in the village square.*
Mike: Aki, I have something I have to tell you..... Ummmm let's go over by the shrine gate, no one is around there right now.
* They went to the bottom of the hill, by the shrine gate. Mike turned and looked at Aki, she was a bit concerned, he looked more serious than she could remember him looking.*
Mike: Aki, ah, last night, what I said....... I didn't mean that........ no, I did mean it, but it wasn't what I meant, ah, I mean it wasn't what I meant to say. I meant to...... I wanted you...... *Mike looked away, trying to find the right words.* Aki, I wanted to ask you to go with me..... not to go back to the city, I wanted you to come to my house, *Mike turned red* To spend the night with me.... every night with me.
*Aki's breath caught, so that was what Mike had been trying to ask. She'd had some suspicions, but she'd been denying them. What could she tell him now? What would she have said last night? She hadn't expected this.... not now. Was she ready for this? And now, with the arrival of the others....... What could she....*
Mike: But now everything has changed, Aki. Maybe, for once, it's a good thing I couldn't find the right words....... I have to go back with Kelly. My father told me that a lot of mankind's problems are my race's fault. I have to try to help, Aki. I don't know when I'll be back..... You'll be safe here with the neko people until this is over.
*Aki was surprised for the second time. She didn't want Mike to leave her behind. She didn't follow him out here, and spend two years here with Mike, just to be left behind. There must be a way....... Aki thought she had it. If they could wait a week to go back, or maybe a little more, she could leave the neko people with a lot of arrows with the foxfire charged crystal. It would be very hard, to leave them enough arrows would take an enormous amount of foxfire magic. But she would have to do it.*
Aki: I can't stay behind, Mike. I have to go with you. I don't want you to go away, and not know if you'll be back..... And my parents are there, they don't even know if I'm alive. I have to go with you.......... And besides, how many times have you needed my magic when you fought the demons. And how many times have you been injured, and I had to heal you. You can't go without me.
*Mike noticed that same tearful, defiant look in Aki's crimson eyes that he'd seen when he told her to stay back with the women, out of the fight. This wasn't going to be easy.*
Mike: but Aki, this is going to be dangerous. Just getting back to the city will be rough. And after that, who knows what we might face. I don't want you in that much danger....... And what about the village? Without us here, they soon would be overrun. We cant abandon our friends. They need you.
Aki: You know I can take care of myself, and you know I can help you. I'll leave the village enough arrows. If we wait a week, I could charge enough foxfire arrows to last them a long time. It would be hard but...
Mike: No!..... you can't be serious. That could kill you, trying to use that much magic for that long. I'd never let you try that, you know how sick you got when you tried to make to many arrows at once. That just won't work.
Aki: It has to, Mike. I just can't stay behind......... I know, you're right, but maybe if we could wait a little longer.
Mike: That's not going to happen. You know Kelly isn't going to wait.
Aki looked down, tears in her eyes: But there has to be something. There must be some way.

Re: Inshou (Gakkou 2nd Season)
* Hideki had stopped and was looking back at her. *
Hideki: Yeah... then again, I hadn't really paid attention to it...
* Hideki looked up as well, wondering what she was on about. *
Hideki: ... you know, now that you mention it, we keep getting attacked by new monsters we have not seen before. Lately they have begun to avoid our traps and Kunikida's sensors. I don't like to think about it much but--
* Gunshots in the distance interrupted Hideki. He turned towards the source but it was on the other side of the campus. *
Hideki: That's an automatic gun... a monster, maybe?
* He looked back at Rina again, looking more serious this time. *
Hideki: We should hurry.
Hideki: Yeah... then again, I hadn't really paid attention to it...

Re: Inshou (Gakkou 2nd Season)
* Kunikida had been following Hideki's car until it was out of range. He was now staring at the screen, hoping for the car's signal to come back on. Selene walked into the room and looked at him for a while. *
Selene: Don't worry about them... they'll be just fine.
Kunikida: *sigh* ... you know Hideki is a magnet for disaster... I just hope this time nothing bad happens...
* Hideki and Rina kept walking until they reached a high barricade. Hideki took a look around but it didn't seem to be any way around it. *
Hideki: We'll have to take a detour...

Re: Inshou (Gakkou 2nd Season)
Mike: There is no other way, Aki. Even if you could leave them a lot of arrows, How long would they last? What happens if they run out? You have to stay, it's the only way I can think of. Maybe I can find some others that can help, and ring them.....
*Mike noticed, Aki wasn't listening. She was searching among the rocks at the side of the path. Aki pocked up an oval shaped stone, larger than Mike's fist, she turned and started up the steps to the shrine. Mike was bewildered. He followed Aki.*
Mike: Aki, what's going on, what are you doing with that rock? Aki?
*Aki didn't answer, she walked up to the alter of the shrine. Mike was about to put his hand on her arm when a blue glow surrounded her. Mike stepped back something strange was going on. Aki set the stone on the alter, it glowed blue matching the glow around Aki. The necklace Aki wore began to glow with a golden light, and Mike noticed even his amulet began to glow. Aki began to sing, her soft voice forming words of a strange language. Mike listened, fascinated, Aki was singing in the ancient language of the Aesir. Singing a song of magic, weaving a spell of protection. The blue foxfire around Aki intensified and became ropes of blue light that twisted and whirled around her. The foxfire mixed with strings of golden magic and surrounded the stone. The stone slowly became translucent, and then clear as crystal. As Aki's song ended, Mike could feel a wave of power wash over him as the magic surrounded the village. Mike looked at the stone, now clear as crystal. Inside the stone were twisting and writhing ropes of blue foxfire, and in it's center, and exact copy of the golden amulet in Aki's necklace and that Mike wore.*
*Aki turned away from the alter, she started to walk toward Mike but she staggered as her legs gave out. Mike caught AKi and picked her up.*
Mike: Aki, what is that, what did you do?
Aki, in a tired voice: I don't know...... but they're safe now, they'll always be safe. *Aki closed her eyes and fell asleep.*
*Mike sat on one of the benches and held Aki close. What had she done? She was capable of amazing magic, but, it could wear her out so badly if she used to much. He'd seen her sick for days after he and Aki fought off a particularly bad attack by the monsters. Suddenly there was another person there with them.*
Sif: She'll be fine son, we were with her during the spell, she just needs to sleep. She is truly a princess worthy of the prophesy. Hold her close son, you will find that every mighty warrior need the help of one of magic, and every powerful user of magic needs the protection of a mighty warrior. This is as it should be.
*Sif vanished, and Mike sat holding Aki, He didn't ever want to let her go. After a long time, Mike made a decision, he carried Aki to his house and laid her on his bed, at least this one night they would spend together. Mike curled himself around the little girl and held on to her. He would be her warrior and protect her for as long as she needed him.*
