Dry ......... and more dry! We got a bit of rain, .1 inch, that's all we've had for the last month. My lawn is crunchy.

Not a good way to start, take care of that fever. You should be healthy so you can enjoy your last year.

Yes, send rain! My home town has had three tenths of an inch, (less than 1cm) in the last six weeks. My lawn is crunchy.

off to the north woods for two days. Ten hours of driving and a day of sitting around. I guess that's the life of a chauffeur. SHE is lecturing and teaching up there, somewhere around the arctic circle....... I think. Maybe there are Eskimos in northern Minnesota.

Would that be north or south of me? :gg:

5 hours of driving would put you around the Nisswa/Brainerd area, the Fargo area, or Duluth.

Actually, it was 4 hours and the town Grand Rapids. (I think they have Polar Bears there) I covered 433 miles, (697k) in two days and a day of sitting around while she was teaching. There really isn't anything once you get north of the big lake Mille Lacs........... (I did get another chapter done of the new 5 minutes story, Check it out.)

my hard drive died......one of them anyway, but it was the one I stored a lot of picts and stuff on. Ya, I know, I should have it all backed up, but who has time for that?

Why should that drive die anyway...... it's only 8 years old.

Snow, and cold, it's too early in November for that, but we got it. Must be global warming.

Unfortunately, there was a bunch of stuff not backed up from my old storage drive, a bunch of the picts of the grandkids........ sigh.

I bought a nice set of wireless headphones at a thrift store (second hand stuff), I figured they'd be nice watching tv late and such.......... but they didn't work. Put in new batteries and all. but not even a power light on the headphones...... bummer......... bwtm! (check the good news thread.
