Meow and welcome back. Did you bring any pics of coffee or catnip plantations? :gg:

I saved all my money (again) to upgrade my PC ("purrsonal computer") it was badly in need of a new video card. Ans so I (again) didn't have a vacation this year. Because with that new video card I need more memory... and then I need a new cpu... and and and... :hmm: :pif:

I need to replace this laptop. some of the keys need to be banged on to make them work. I don't know why, it's only seven years old, was a cheap model, and was the display model. I should break down and spend the money on a newer model.

Is it always the same keys? If no: Is the cpu-fan purrhaps running nonstop? In that case it might be a trojan caclulating Bitcoin thus hogging all the resources.

You can always simply connect a $10 usb keyboard to the notebook and it'll work fine. Large keyboards are more comfortable to type on as well. And they're cheaper to replace should you ever spill your catnip coffee :gg:

But harder to take along when I'm driving clients. Yes, it's the same keys, most notably the enter key.

Ifixit.com and Ebay are your best friends. You're brilliant when it comes to technical stuff, just look at all the things you make of wood.
A notebook's keyboard should be easy to repair (and cheap, too)
The big advantage is: no need to reinstall everything! :thumb:
