If you like dark, you'd like Boogiepop Phantom. For dark and gothic, none better than the OVA Le Portrait de Petite Cossette. The Memories dvd, the story The Magnetic Rose, would fit the bill. Kakurenbo, tag with demons, very short, very dark and a great anime. If you want really weird , really dark, and something none of your other friends have ever seen, find Malice@Doll, a cgi ova that's completely strange, after humans are gone and only our machines and androids are left. One "Doll" wants to become human. Sakura, try Sound of the Sky, it would be Haibane Renmei compatable. And if you haven't seen Shuffle, you might like that too.
