Stupid projects!

I have a job problem. At the company I work part time, there are two part timers. A friend of the team leader and myself. The boss in an attempt to speed up execution of every job as much as possible demands that all jobs are evenly distributed between me and this friend of my immediate lead.

Which leads him to a problem. He has to give me 50% of all jobs, yet limiting his friend to only 50% of all possible projects (and thus 50% of the money)

So he's trying to give me all these evil jobs which leaves me with stupid stuff that requires more work than paid.

This week however he made a mistake! He ordered my to do silly stuff that sounds complicated, but isn't (at least to me!) I have finished this work of creating a list of words contained in documents (italian language) which I'm pretty sure is of no use in ANY of our projects. I'm sure my lead has no clue why working with foreign character set is conveniently easy in times of "UTF-8" and all my software projects are multilanguage by default. With a little help by O-kun I have no finished that project in 2 (of 7) days. I also have sent some... "information" to a close relative of my boss, informing him that "important company resources have been purposedly waisted for useless projects"... we don't have any italian customers :gg: :gg: :gg:

Oh and I have to add that "creating a word list" was my job.

It was not "creating a software for the creation of word lists" so I gave our team lead the word list. Printed. On paper.

Of course I kept the software a secret...

I feel conveniently evil now

You are so sweetly evil it just makes me smile. Hmmm, where have i heard That type of complaint before???? Oh ya, from a few other people. It seems that peoples bosses are often very self serving clods. Well, all bosses can't be pure, kind good, honest, ect. ect...... like me. (cough) All you can do is do your best and hope that the higher ups take notice of your work. People like your boss often find their policies coming back to haunt them later.

my mom is often complaining bout here boss cause he only gives high functions to young people (don't know what they're called in english sorry). but that's because they still can find a new job and if you're older it's hard to find an other job. So it's kinda like now my mother stopped doing everything she doesn't get paid for and her boss is annoyed but he can't do anything about it.

When you're good, you're very good, but when you're bad, you're better.
