I could request lots of things, just like Z2k but I don't know if it would be something you like. Why don't you pick a genre that you enjoy when reading/watching movies. (Ex: comedy, action, adventure, horror) and I'll suggest some things from that.

The only Dita that was really clingy that comes to mind was from Vandread.
Comedy & adventure:
Full Metal Panic - (watch in order season 1, Fumoffu, season 2)
Godanner - Big robots and girls with even bigger boobs.
Bleach
I will post more later.

Comedy adventure, "Martian Successor: Nadesico" comes to mind. A kind of parody of a lot of anime and sci-fi.
Dai Guard: Giant robot adventure comedy. PR people must save the world. And the giant robot isn't quite "state of the art" stuff.
Historical adventure: try "Zipang" the Japanese Aegis battlecruiser, Mirai, is sent back in time to 1942, the battle of Midway. Now the moral questions begin. Should they do anything that might change history? And who's side should they be on?
Straight out comedy: "Azumanga Diaoh" is very good. "Pani Poni Dash" is a lot crazier.

These two are good... but each episode will leave you with room temperature IQ while the effect passes...

So it is kind of like drinking beer without the hangover?
I like it!

sorry for not responding Olray

If you like adventure and comedy (action is normally pared up with adventure so you won't be missing out on that) I would recommend (along with those already recommended) Trigun, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Black Cat could be considered funny but relies more on action/adventure, and although I don't personally enjoy the series, One Piece is adventure in its nature yet funny in just how bad it is (at least the 4kids version). I'd also recommend xxxHolic. Although I don't think it's action/adventure I found it to be funny. Not slap-stick funny but it got me laughing in alot of parts, like the entire ep. 19.

I just started watching another anime that might interest you. It's a comedy adventure type by the author of Martian Successor Nadesico. The anime is Shingu, secret of the stellar wars. It's a bit low key humor, and an adventure with aliens attacking the earth, and a secret group opposing them. So far it's pretty good, I'll write more about it when I get farther into it.
