Dude! The Blues Brothers, Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, and Cat Ballou! if you turn those movies down, I have lost faith once again.

Nerima Daikon Brothers is a very funny comedy musical. Any resemblance to the Blues Brothers is purely intentional. If you like Nabashin's crazy brand of humor, you'd like this. The humor is adult oriented, rated TV-PG. The series is mostly episodic, but the last disc has a story line, mostly based around a former well known rock star, trying to get their land to build Nerima Land amusement park. There are references to a bunch of zombies, thriller, and plastic surgery. Read a review here. http://www.mania.com/nerima-daikon-brot ... 80218.html

Beck is the story of Koyuki, a high school boy's, coming of age. He's rather down and out till he meets a local rocker, Ryusuke. Koyuki decides to learn to play guitar, and with the help of his swimming coach, becomes good enough to play with Ryusuke's band. We get to watch the band through their trials and triumphs, good times and bad. The story is first rate, and the musical score is great. I really think this is one of the best anime out there. review, http://www.mania.com/beck-complete-coll ... 80373.html
