*Aki was in deep thought while they were in the car. Something was bothering her, she wasn't exactly sure what it was but it kept nagging her.*

Kimara: Is something wrong Aki-chan?

*Aki looked at Kimara who was on the other side of Daiki, she looked worried.*

Aki: I'm fine...just a little out of it.

Kimara: Are you tired? Didn't you get enough sleep?

Aki: No, no...nothing like that. I just--well...I don't feel good about what's happening.

Daiki: Don't worry Aki...I'll protect you. *He couldn't say out loud everything but Aki gave him a small smile, Kimara was fidgeting beside him, surely the dog-demon was a little anxious at raiding some gang. She was only a first year and probably not used to these kinds of things.*

Aki: Ne, Daiki...what do you know about these SPARTANs?

Kimara: You know about them Daiki-kun?

Daiki: Well, not exactly. I've heard about the project and little bits of information but I've never been up against one. And they're more of close combat and enhanced physical attributes so plenty of magic don't work against them. Elemental magic is your best bet against them.

Aki: Elemental? *Daiki nodded. It was hard to master magic, let alone elemental magic. One had to be skilled to handle even one element. Daiki had already been taught all the basic elements and some of the elemental spell of Fire, Metal and a bit of Wood, Aki knew. She sighed. She excelled in Metal spells and a few Fire spells. She needed to train more.*

Kimara: What are those?

Aki: They are Magic based on the Elements, like water, fire, earth, metal and wood. They are the hardest kinds of magic to learn. Most magic spells are based on an Element, like say trickery spells are often based on Metal Element since it is under the Yin wing and curse spells are under Water Element. Healing spells are based on the Earth Element since it's the balanced element.

Kimara: Oh...and these are the most dependable spells against these...these things we're to be up against?

*Aki nodded.*

Daiki: But no one can master all of it. Mostly some people can master three or four but those are very skilled mages.

Kimara: How come no one has ever mastered all of it?

Daiki: I hadn't said no one had ever mastered it...but I can only think of one mage who has. The gender of that mage is unknown as well as the race. All that's known is that mage had been able to master the Elemental Magic. But the reason as to why everyone has a difficulty in mastering all of it is because of Fire and Water.

Kimara: Fire and Water?

Aki: Yes...you see, fire and water don't get along. So it's either you master water and forget fire or vice-versa. If you force the elements to combine without the necessary skills the elements will go berserk and you won't be able to control them. In Kitsune magic the priority elements are fire and metal.

Kimara: Does that mean you won't be able to use water-based spells?

Aki: Most likely...

Daiki: Don't try being modest Aki...if there was anyone who could use the elements it would be you.

*Aki blushed and would have glared at Daiki if he didn't look completely serious.*

Aki: And why is that?

Daiki: Your parentage...don't forget Ai-san was a very skilled mage and your father was the best warrior in the kin.

*Kimara blinked as she processed this. Then it clicked.*

Kimara: But Aki-chan...does that mean you--you--you're a...

Aki: A what? *Aki looked at her friend confused.*

Kimara: You're a full blooded Kitsune demon!

*Aki blinked then nodded slowly.*

Aki: Didn't I tell you guys that I was Kitsune back then?

Kimara: You did! But we assumed that you were a half-blood! Like Rina-chan....I thought you were part-kitsune and part-human...*Kimara was blushing now, what she said was outwardly rude.*

Aki: It's alright Kimara-chan...I guess I hadn't explained very well. And I bet the other think I'm just half-kitsune. *Kimara nodded slightly.*

Daiki: Funny that they didn't realize you were too powerful to be a half-kitsune.

Aki: Huh?

Daiki: Remember the arrow that shot Michael? *Both girls nodded.* It contained a heck of magic, even a tinge of Water Element. If you were only a half-kitsune it would've killed you or at the very least put you in critical condition. I'm surprised you dispelled it unscathed, actually.

Aki: It did?!

Daiki: Yea, didn't you notice?

Aki: Not very...all I remembered was that it was a really strong spell. *Aki puased then shrieked.* But that's good!

Daiki: What? Why?

Aki: That means you didn't do it!

Daiki: You lost me completely...

Aki: You didn't shoot that arrow! If it was tinge with Water Element then it couldn't have been you! You had mastered fire before so unless you're a really, really skilled mage then I doubt you can control water curse spells. *Aki was bouncing on the seat giddily. Daiki didn't do it...he didn't try to kill Mike. All that she need to do now was find out who did it.*

Kimara: Really? *Kimara broke into a smile.* That's wonderful Aki-chan!

Daiki: Well you can't prove it now...*Both girls looked at him confused.* I mean the evidence is most likely disposed or has lost its magic aura. You can't prove that it was tinge with Water Element.

*Aki gave a sly grin.*

Aki: I'll take care of that... After we go find where Rina-chan is and save her!

Kimara: Yea!

*The car they were in halted and they got out. A moment later the car where Kelly, Kunikida and Mike were in arrived.*

*Mike got out of the car with Kelly, he saw Daiki and turned away...... he wanted to wipe the smile off of the fox boys face. Maybe it was a bad idea to turn his back on Daiki..... it didn't matter anymore. If he could just talk with Aki..... she could at least tell him why....... How could she go from his shining princess one minute to walking off with Daiki the next. She hadn't turned around.... hadn't even told him goodbye.*

*Mike pulled on the heavy gauntlets, ((Norse mythology, Thor wears a pair of iron gloves)) at least he could bury himself in his mission..... forget the hurt. The amulet glowed under Mike's shirt, and he felt a warmth flow over him. Mike smiled....... The metal gloves always made him feel stronger, but today, he felt stronger than ever, ready for anything. Mike flexed his fist and looked down at Kelly.*

Mike: If they don't open the door when you knock..... I have the key.

*Kelly looked up at the tall young man. She hoped "captain courageous" didn't wind up starting a fight that he couldn't handle.*

((Kelly still thinks Mike's just a big strong human with military training. She doesn't know what he can do..... Hideki never told her just what training he and Mike did together.))

*Aki turned to look at Mike, she realized she hadn't been able to speak to him at all since last night. He hadn't even went online. She was hoping he'd tell "Yuki" how he felt then. He wasn't looking at her, in fact he seemed so engrossed with his gauntlets. She felt a little disappointed, maybe after all this was over she can ask him out on a picnic. With just the two of them.*

*Daiki had noticed Aki looking longingly at the big oaf, he scowled. Damn it! Why did she like him so much anyways? Daiki had pondered the question far too many times before so he ignored it this time. They were on a mission. It would be better if he got the mission over with so he could deal with all this later.*

Kunikida: Well then, Kelly-san...you have the honor of knocking.

*Kelly raised a brow and walked pass Kunikida to the huge sturdy gate and gave three swift knocks. She waited impatiently, her right foot tapping.*

* Hideki and Samuel were in the middle of a forest on the outskirts of Tokyo. Hideki was wearing the armor and Samuel had a laptop on his hands. *

Samuel: Ok, John, as you might have noticed, you can't move yet. That's because the power unit is off. Now, I'll need you to concentrate. Use Kontrolle to clear your mind of everything, I'll know if you're doing ok by reading your mind patterns on my laptop.

Hideki: One question, before we start. Michael told me that he had seen armor before and that it doesn't reacts as fast as I would... I was wondering if--

Samuel: The SPI Armor is different than the one being developed by the Air Force. Theirs is being developed for normal humans, our is for SPARTANs.

Hideki: Wait, Air Force?

Samuel: Oh, didn't Kelly told you? That Tanaka fellow is an Air Force captain. Anyways, since the SPARTANs have a higher mental capacity than even the most gifted of normal humans, the project HAYABUSA guys developed a neural interface to increase speed of the armor. But because of this, you need to stay focused at all times, since you'll have to control an extra set of limbs. With time, though, you'll get used to it and move naturally like you do with your own arms and legs.

Hideki: He's a captain!? How old is he?

Samuel: Are you paying attention to any of what I've said!?

Hideki: Yes! But... wait... you and Kelly are in the military as well, right? What are your ranks?

Samuel: I'm a sub-lieutenant and Kelly is a lieutenant commander.

Hideki: So you two have to take orders from Michael?

Samuel: No, Navy and Air Force have sightly different rank ladders and jurisdiction. If we were to be transferred to the Air Force, though, we would be a first lieutenant and major respectively so I would take orders from him, but he would have to listen to Kelly.

Hideki: ... if I joined you guys on the Navy, what rank would I have?

* Samuel looked at him, trying to remember that little fact from his file. *

Samuel: Hmm... since you're a SPARTAN, you would graduate from military academy as a master chief petty officer. But enough of that, let's get started.

* Meanwhile, in front of the Black Feathers hideout, Kelly took out a small portable TV from her backpack and began switching through the channels. All of them were of cameras she had planted inside a few days after the incident in the mall, before going to Hideki's place for the first time. *

Kelly: They are here but they seem to be ignoring us... Captain, take down this door. The rest of you, stay here and beat down anyone who tries to leave that's not us.

* As she said it, she put the TV back in her backpack and took out a pair of weird looking pistols. She loaded them and leaned against the wall next to the door, waiting for Michael to "knock" on the door. *

*Mike stepped up to the door.*

Mike : Maybe you just didn't knock hard enough for them to hear.

*Mike took a short swing at the door's latch, the door exploded inward in a shower of pieces........ Mike was a bit surprised, he hadn't meant to hit it quite that hard. Quickly Mike stepped into the room, ready for an attack.... There were two gang members there, one with his arm in a cast, and one with his leg up, in a wheelchair, injuries from Hideki's fight a week ago. Mike was grinning at them as Kelly and the others followed into the room.*

Mike: Hi there guys, remember us....... we just came for a bit of a social visit.

*Kelly followed Mike, she was a bit shocked, she knew Mike was strong, and expected he'd break the door in with his shoulder.....How the heck did he do that? No time to ask now...... She looked at the two gang members, they looked rather terrified. But then, With his metal gloves, Mike did look appropriately scary.*

*Aki winced as the door was shattered into splinters as if it was delicate glass. She waved the resulting dust away as she started at the open gate where Mike and Kelly went in.*

*Daiki noted how strong Mike was, it was no joke how he broke the door into tiny pieces. He decided he should not underestimate the big lug.*

Kimara: Be-beat down?

Daiki: Don't worry Kimara-chan, you won't even have to break a sweat...me and Kunikida...sempai can handle it.

*Kunikida looked appropriately appalled at being volunteered.*

Kunikida: Oi! What do you think your doing, volunteering me and all without asking me!

Daiki: Oh come now Kunikida-sempai, you don't expect the girls to fight for us?

*Kunikida frowned.*

Kunikida: Well no...

Daiki: Then that settles it, we'll be in the front line and the girls will be in the back...so that IF anyone might get through us. *Daiki was grinning as the obviously defeated Kunikida when Aki called their attention. She was by the broken door, peeking inside.*

Aki: I don't think we're gonna need much of the strategy plan...Michael-kun and Kelly-san are doing really well in there. *She turned to face her outside companions and huffed.* I want to go in too!

*Mike noticed Aki at the door. Mike smiled, Aki still was the cutest girl....... Mike frowned as he looked back at Kelly, no time to think of that now.... Kelly was not getting answers from these two.*

Mike: Maybe I should make them want to answer...... *Mike banged the gloves together.*

Kelly: Na, they're just shy....... I could try being more persuasive.

Mike: Maybe I should check the other rooms, there could be others hiding where you didn't see......

*Mike looked at the door again, the girls shouldn't be out there, he could cover them better in here ....... No, this might be better, ........ Aki was pretty good at taking care of herself, besides, she had Daiki to protect them.*

* Kelly looked around, remembering the layout of the building from the blueprints she had downloaded when she was placing the cameras. She pointed towards one of the nearby doors. *

Kelly: That way.

* She stepped away from the two "guards" while snapping suppressors to her pistols then turned around and shot them both. The bullets exploded just mere centimeters away from them, spraying a blue, sweet smelling, tint all over them. The others jumped back surprised. She held the guns showing them to the group. *

Kelly: Loaded with Tactical Training Rounds. They explode before impact spraying a chemical, that can paralyze or knock out the target. Didn't really think I would go around killing people without a motive, did you guys?

* She smiled and kicked open the door she had pointed at earlier. A couple of gang members tried to jump at her but she calmly shoot them and they fell to the floor unable to move. *

Kelly: Let's go, captain!

* Kunikida peeked inside the building, watching Kelly. *

Kunikida: Sugoi...

*Mike followed Kelly, he was impressed, she was good. That confirmed his guess that she was military trained, not just some outside group. They made a pretty good urban assault team, Mike banging open doors from one side while Kelly covered the room from the other.*

*Mike glanced back, the others were staying back a ways, that was good....... He hoped Daiki was covering the rear for the group, if someone attacked the rear, it would take Mike to long to get there. Daiki and Aki could handle a few humans, if they didn't have illegal weapons. They could call him if they ran into trouble. Mike realized they had no tactical communications......... another thing he would have to remedy. But Kunikida and Kimara.... why had Kelly even brought them along....... Unless she thought they might find a computer, Kunikida could be valuable then. And Kimara.... did Kelly want the dog girls healing abilities along, just in case of trouble?*

*Looked like one more room to check. Mike stood against the wall on one side of the door while kelly stood on the other side. Mike looked at Kelly and nodded.*

* Kaine looked at the security cameras, Kelly and Michael were wreaking havoc while heading towards them. He sighed and looked at Kazuya Oshima, the leader of the gang who was loading his pistol. *

Kaine: Oi, Kazu-kun... the boy is not here.

Kazuya: So what?

Kaine: This is boring... I'll leave these guys up to you, ok?

Kazuya: What? You running away?

* Kaine suddenly turned towards him and lifted him by the collar with one hand and took Kazuya's pistol with the other. *

Kaine: A SPARTAN never runs away! These pieces of trash are not worthy of being my enemies! You got that!?

* Kazuya only managed to nod sligthly, since Kaine's grip had cut his air path. Kaine released him and he fell to the floor, coughing. He turned to leave while talking. *

Kaine: If I find you tell them anything you shouldn't... you can say goodbye to your gang... and your life.

* Kazuya stood up slowly, staring at the group on the security cameras as Kaine left the building through another exit. He took a small radio from the desk and adjusted the volume before pressing the button. *

Kazuya: We got guests, guys! Call everyone and counterattack!

* The lights on the whole building went out darkening the place just enough to make it way more dangerous. Kelly smiled and looked at Michael. One of her few advantages over any other SPARTAN where her eyes. *

Kelly: I have no problem seeing in low light, how about you?
