*Aki was in deep thought while they were in the car. Something was bothering her, she wasn't exactly sure what it was but it kept nagging her.*
Kimara: Is something wrong Aki-chan?
*Aki looked at Kimara who was on the other side of Daiki, she looked worried.*
Aki: I'm fine...just a little out of it.
Kimara: Are you tired? Didn't you get enough sleep?
Aki: No, no...nothing like that. I just--well...I don't feel good about what's happening.
Daiki: Don't worry Aki...I'll protect you. *He couldn't say out loud everything but Aki gave him a small smile, Kimara was fidgeting beside him, surely the dog-demon was a little anxious at raiding some gang. She was only a first year and probably not used to these kinds of things.*
Aki: Ne, Daiki...what do you know about these SPARTANs?
Kimara: You know about them Daiki-kun?
Daiki: Well, not exactly. I've heard about the project and little bits of information but I've never been up against one. And they're more of close combat and enhanced physical attributes so plenty of magic don't work against them. Elemental magic is your best bet against them.
Aki: Elemental? *Daiki nodded. It was hard to master magic, let alone elemental magic. One had to be skilled to handle even one element. Daiki had already been taught all the basic elements and some of the elemental spell of Fire, Metal and a bit of Wood, Aki knew. She sighed. She excelled in Metal spells and a few Fire spells. She needed to train more.*
Kimara: What are those?
Aki: They are Magic based on the Elements, like water, fire, earth, metal and wood. They are the hardest kinds of magic to learn. Most magic spells are based on an Element, like say trickery spells are often based on Metal Element since it is under the Yin wing and curse spells are under Water Element. Healing spells are based on the Earth Element since it's the balanced element.
Kimara: Oh...and these are the most dependable spells against these...these things we're to be up against?
*Aki nodded.*
Daiki: But no one can master all of it. Mostly some people can master three or four but those are very skilled mages.
Kimara: How come no one has ever mastered all of it?
Daiki: I hadn't said no one had ever mastered it...but I can only think of one mage who has. The gender of that mage is unknown as well as the race. All that's known is that mage had been able to master the Elemental Magic. But the reason as to why everyone has a difficulty in mastering all of it is because of Fire and Water.
Kimara: Fire and Water?
Aki: Yes...you see, fire and water don't get along. So it's either you master water and forget fire or vice-versa. If you force the elements to combine without the necessary skills the elements will go berserk and you won't be able to control them. In Kitsune magic the priority elements are fire and metal.
Kimara: Does that mean you won't be able to use water-based spells?
Aki: Most likely...
Daiki: Don't try being modest Aki...if there was anyone who could use the elements it would be you.
*Aki blushed and would have glared at Daiki if he didn't look completely serious.*
Aki: And why is that?
Daiki: Your parentage...don't forget Ai-san was a very skilled mage and your father was the best warrior in the kin.
*Kimara blinked as she processed this. Then it clicked.*
Kimara: But Aki-chan...does that mean you--you--you're a...
Aki: A what? *Aki looked at her friend confused.*
Kimara: You're a full blooded Kitsune demon!
*Aki blinked then nodded slowly.*
Aki: Didn't I tell you guys that I was Kitsune back then?
Kimara: You did! But we assumed that you were a half-blood! Like Rina-chan....I thought you were part-kitsune and part-human...*Kimara was blushing now, what she said was outwardly rude.*
Aki: It's alright Kimara-chan...I guess I hadn't explained very well. And I bet the other think I'm just half-kitsune. *Kimara nodded slightly.*
Daiki: Funny that they didn't realize you were too powerful to be a half-kitsune.
Aki: Huh?
Daiki: Remember the arrow that shot Michael? *Both girls nodded.* It contained a heck of magic, even a tinge of Water Element. If you were only a half-kitsune it would've killed you or at the very least put you in critical condition. I'm surprised you dispelled it unscathed, actually.
Aki: It did?!
Daiki: Yea, didn't you notice?
Aki: Not very...all I remembered was that it was a really strong spell. *Aki puased then shrieked.* But that's good!
Daiki: What? Why?
Aki: That means you didn't do it!
Daiki: You lost me completely...
Aki: You didn't shoot that arrow! If it was tinge with Water Element then it couldn't have been you! You had mastered fire before so unless you're a really, really skilled mage then I doubt you can control water curse spells. *Aki was bouncing on the seat giddily. Daiki didn't do it...he didn't try to kill Mike. All that she need to do now was find out who did it.*
Kimara: Really? *Kimara broke into a smile.* That's wonderful Aki-chan!
Daiki: Well you can't prove it now...*Both girls looked at him confused.* I mean the evidence is most likely disposed or has lost its magic aura. You can't prove that it was tinge with Water Element.
*Aki gave a sly grin.*
Aki: I'll take care of that... After we go find where Rina-chan is and save her!
Kimara: Yea!
*The car they were in halted and they got out. A moment later the car where Kelly, Kunikida and Mike were in arrived.*
Kimara: Is something wrong Aki-chan?
