Lucy Fur isn't supposed to leave the house either, but she likes to sneek out the door. When she's out, she just hides in the bushes looking scared.

Our cat used to go out and catch birds. Our neigbours' cats were lazy and played with the birds they caught before eventually killing them.. That's soooooooo sad for the birds. They were better off with our cat (insantly killed them before playing and eventually eating them). Too bad she's gone, though... I liked her.

I know a cat who only comes home to eat. He knows when the person who takes care him gets home when he hears her keys he comes to the door and the rest of the day he's outside

This is true.
I knew a cat named Load, a big siamese, who eventually went blind from old age. He'd walk around the house running into walls, but if you let him out into the alfalfa/grass field and watch....pretty soon he's start jumping straight up and down and pouncing...and within 10 min would come trotting back up to the house with a mouse. Unbelievable.
Load was sweet, but the "Stench of Load" was enough to peel paint.

Wow even when a cat is blind he still can catch mouse? that's weird
