Vince: KIIIDDD!!!

*The boy snaps back awake. It was obvious he had a strong IC connection as the Mech came to a dead stop*

Vince: What the hell was that!? You trying to kill them!

???: What? No, I'm not sure what happened. I sensed we were in danger the way he was moving like that....

Vince: Its just a simple spar!

*Without knowing it, the Mech was moving as if it were arguing with someone. The mechs hands where moving and pointing whenever Vince would move and point his hands.

???: You're doing it.

Vince: What?

???: You're making the mech move.

*Vince stops notices the mech was moving along with him in a perfect unison*

Vince: We might have something now. *He smirks*

Ryu: What... what are they doing?

Ursula: I don't know, but I have a bad feel--

Ryu: Don't even finish that phrase, Murphy's Laws predict things can only get worse after someone says that.

Ursula: Erm... ok. What now?

Ryu: Now... we attack!

Ursula: Not again!

Ryu: Think about it, they are better armed than us right now. If we defend, we lose. Our only chance is to attack to recover the other baton and level the playing field again.

Ursula: Hmm, now you're talking!

* Ryu moved forward carefully. He noticed how the controls had a lot less lag than before, although they still felt somewhat heavy. Ursula was "hearing" Ryu better now. His nervousness is what was blocking him before, she thought. Still, there was something wrong with their mech. She wasn't sure what, but since the moment she had climbed into the IC pool, she could feel a pressure on her chest that just wouldn't go away. Maythan was smiling amply from a side of the field, and so was Robert besides him. *

Maythan: This sure is a surprise! I thought you said he hadn't piloted one before?

Robert: He hadn't, but if he ever wants his last name to be something other than a decoration, he'll have to prove he can do something like this better than anyone else, even if it's his first time.

* Victoria looked at Maythan and Robert then back at the charts. The sync rate between Ryu and Ursula was way better than at the beginning of the exercise, but still below average. Ursula's sync with the machine was way better than average, though. It's as if she had done this before... she thought while turning to look at Vince and the other kid's charts. Vince's IC also had average sync rate to his machine, but for the moment that the outburst lasted, his sync rate was way better than most second years. She tried to look at his info, but couldn't open it for some reason. That's weird... unless... she looked at Maythan again, wondering what he was up to. Ryu lunged forwards when he judged the distance to be right. Vince, thinking Ryu was about to tackle him, lifted his arms to strike from the top, but as he was striking down Ryu stopped and put his baton up over his head. He blocked Vince's strike and threw a low kick at the same time, throwing him to the ground. Ryu then kneeled, striking Vince's mech as he picked up his other baton, then jumped back. Ryu smiled. Things were looking up. Grey was sitting on a bench next to Victoria, staring at the two spar. He looked very interested on them. Actually, he was very interested in anyone that could be a possible challenger. *

Grey: Ryu's movements...

* Victoria looked at him, wondering when he had gotten next to her. *

Grey: ... they look very smooth, but looking closer... you can tell his only doing one thing at the time. Either his running, jumping, blocking or striking.

Victoria: I had noticed, yeah. Their level isn't high enough yet to fight as you did.

Grey: And I don't think he ever will... unless he finds himself in a life or death situation.

*Nila went to stand next to vanilla,*

Nila: are you hurt? you push yourself a bit hard...

*she didnt know why she came to talk to her,she felt worried when people involved in mechs,a second year approached her and shove something at her,she stared down at the uniform in her hand and back to the girl which she recognize as the girl she beat in the spar earlier on*

emma :Welcome to our school!dont get cocky!*with her head held high she walked away*

Nila: um thanks, *she look back to the battle in front of her,she was amazed,the first years were good especially that boy what's his name?* oh well...his pretty good

Vanilla: I'm not hurt. Thanks for asking.

*Vanilla smiled and looked back at the battle again too. Then she turned back to the flower girl.*

Vanilla: What's your name? And if you are joining the first years who is going to take care of the plants? I think you're amazing for always taking care of them, so is the next person going to be just as great?

*Then she shut up, realising she was asking too much.*

Vanilla: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude..

*Nila smile,she shook her head8

Nila:it's okay...Im Nila Kytes..and i don't think i deserve such praise but thanks anyway

*looks at the mechas*

Nila :everyone's adapting well...i think our year is interesting,That is what he is thinking right now

*looking at the principal grining*

* Ryu and Vince kept sparring. They were doing better now, but their moves were still cumbersome and awkward. A few minutes later, the fight ended in an anticlimactic tie. Ryu moved the mech to where the other mechs where and jumped down from the cockpit to help Ursula out of the IC pool. *

Ryu: Well, that wasn't so bad.

Ursula: Or so you say... I'm exhausted!

Ryu: Sorry! I'll make it up to you, somehow.

* They walked to where the others where, Ryu had a big smile on his face. *

Ryu: Well, that's that!

Maythan watch the first years,he smile seeing nila talking yet still reserve,she must be worried about them.he stood up congratulating them and stating he was only joking about the expelled issue.as he went inside with his secretary beside him he smile,those children were indeed something,a bunch of begginers yet able to control.he had thought nila was an exception.

Victoria: You guys may take a break,In 20 Minutes report to your homeroom,Nila you too...

*Nila stared at her uniform*

Nila: i got tricked....

*suddenly her hands were slapped and her uniform fell onto the ground,she look up to find a very angry red hair girl*

Nila: your th-

Shala: How dare you!!!I'm grey's ic!!!you Witch!!!

* Ryu was going to say something to Nila when Shala stormed next to him and slapped the uniform out of Nila's hands. he watched in disbelief for a few seconds. *

Ryu: Catfight! --Oof!

* Ursula dispensed a quick elbow to Ryu's stomach. He grabbed his stomach dramatically, taking some steps forward before throwing himself between Nila and Shala. *

*shala paid no attention to Ryu,instead she used him as a floor mat as she pointed her finger at Nila*

shala: How dare you!!!!!

*picks up her uniform ignoring the girls comment she look at ryu*

Nila : I don''t think he can breathe?

*Ran looked at them as she walked by with several others.*

Ran: IC?, HA! niether of you were worth the effort. *She looked back at Vince, Ran was interested in the cute brown haired boy.* He could have won, if his IC had been worth anything. Mmmm, he definitely has more potential than that idiot I was paired with. He just needs the right IC. *Ran was sure she knew who was the right IC for Vince. Ran always got what she wanted.*
