The Crap Shooter

Came down with this darn cold last week and it's still hanging on. I even missed my granddaughters grandparents day at her school. Well, I feel a little better, maybe I will survive, for a while.

Monday, I had my albatross (a Pontiac Grand Am left over from my business) sold. The guy is from a town 80 miles north of Fairfax and he wanted me to bring the car half way for him to pick up. Well, I got over to Fairfax (50mi) and got the car running, then he told me his ride had fallen through and he couldn't get the car unless I would drive it to his town (80mi) I checked with the wife and agreed we should get it there and be done with it. I tried to call the guy but got his message service so I left a message that we were bringing the car. After we'd driven 7o miles, he called back and said he wasn't going to buy the car............. damn.......... so I had to drive the 70mi back to Belle Plaine. All that traveling for nothing.
