Somebody has an epic love for jeans...

*cough*

Anyhow, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Sakura!

My arm is bruised because I had to carry a lamp from the store to my place for my parents.. (It was a special offer and my parents need a new lamp next to the sofa but they were sold out where they live..) Normally I wouldn't really care that much, but I need to draw something for my friend's birthday and it hurts when I draw ;-; Just my luck...

Drilling holes in the cement floor for these anchor screws is harder than I thought, even with my hammer drill.

I remember having to do that to put up the walls for my basment bathroom. I was lucky enough to have access to a professional hammer drill and bits. Made things much easier.

I found a lot of the trouble is the bit. It's a new Tapcon bit but the carbide end is really poor. The carbide isn't sharp, and if it was, there is so much brazing gobbed on the end that it can't clear the drill dust. I had to take my Dremel tool with a diamond wheel and clean things up and sharpen it, now it works much better.......... Made in China, what can you expect?

I started with a tapcon bit useing my regular drill and the bit broke after half a hole.
Switched over to the professional hammer drill and bits and did the rest of the holes without a problem.

Last race of the year for the Indy cars turned into tragedy 13 laps into the race. A car got out of control in the middle of the pack and started a wreck involving 15 cars. At 220mph, you can imagine what it looked like, really bad, a couple of the cars flew a long way through the air. They stopped the race and after a two hour delay, announced the race was cancelled due to the death of Dan Weldon, this years Indy 500 winner. This is what fans of the sport fear. It's a dangerous game, and they do the best they can to make safety improvements, but at those speeds, you can't make it safe. It's been seven years since the last driver death in the series, I hope it's a lot longer till the next one.
