OK OK, colombian cuisine:
Empanadas: Basically a stuffed corn-based pastry, baked or fried. Usually filled with ground beef, chicken or cheese.
Papa Rellena: Another stuffed pastry, this one has potato-based pastry instead of corn and is almost always found fried.
Arepa de Huevo: More commonly known as "Arepa'e Huevo". Uses the same dough as the empanadas and is deep fried with a raw egg inside which gets cooked by the time the arepa is ready.
Coconut rice: White race cooked on a base of coconut milk, water, salt, sugar and the coconut meat. People sometimes adds raisins but it tends to get too sweet with those in it.
Sancocho de Gallina: a soup composed mostly of hen, plantain, corn, coriander, yuca root, and other stuff.
Gotta run, more later!
