Ooooh, nice! Good work, Hiki!

On a completely unrelated note, I have a full course again this semester, and I'm planning on making some changes to the course, see if it makes the classes more dynamic and fun. I can only hope...

SHE and I were there when the inspector checked over our new house. He was a very thorough inspector and I learned a great deal about the place. It has 9 inch thick poured concrete basement walls and foundation, six inch thick walls with good insulation. It was built of high quality materials and all the appliances are in good shape. The two gas fireplaces work very well. The inspector thought it was one of the best built houses he has seen. He guessed it was selling for a hundred thousand more than we bought it for. I feel a lot better about the purchase now.

We will be closing the deal next week, just before we leave for two weeks. We're going to see the Mayan ruins.

It must be a newer house. Poured concrete walls are a new construction method. They started really doing that in homes in the last 10 years.

Built in 1995

the upper part of the house is two by six stud construction. Makes for lots of insulation.

Houses here are still built using the old brick and mortar style.
