*Tan looked up at Ryu. Someone defending him? This was strange, it just didn't seem right. He didn't even know these people, yet both Vanilla and Ryu had offered him their aid. Was this school, these people that much different from the people he had grown up with. Maybe he could be more than a whipping boy here.*

Tan: Ummm, Ryu..... maybe we should just let it go. I don't want to cause any of you any trouble. *Tan didn't know what Ryu intended, but he wasn't sure challenging the girl was a good idea.*

[Raine]

*Grey and shala turn to the group,grey look at the group while shala made a cat grin at them*

Shala: your lucky were in your team and grey is the leader what weir hair you've got*laughs*

Grey:Shala be quiet!!

*silence*

Grey:sorry,she's a bit full of herself,her name is shala Minx and im grey....this is just a simulation so we can just do what we can right?

Victoria: Attention Team blue!You'll be suspended if your unable to beat Team Red...

Shla:WHAT?!FRST DAY AT SCHOOL!!!

Victoria;Don't raise your voice....and welcome to the academy...here we take things seriously!!*walks away*

Grey: what kind of crazy school is this!!

*Nila watched a dark messy haired boy scracth his head,she overheard what was happening*

Nila: This group must be interesting for him to go to all this much

*Vince sense Tan uneasiness, he pats him on the back*

Vince: Hey, Tan. Come on relax. We're the good guys. We'll take care of you. We stick together, no matter what. What are friends for, beside you know what your doing, your the last guy I wanna make mad. Hahaha. I kid. You're cool dude.

* Robert Larken, Appears next to Victoria, Vince sees him and scowls*

Vince: What is he doing here!?

*Vanilla looked at Tan when the girl made fun of him. Vanilla like his eyes. She thought they were pretty. And his hair was nice too. It looked like it was silver. Vanilla stayed quiet, though, because that other boy seemed to know what he was doing.*

Victoria: Um lets see.... Tan, Ryu, Vince and Grey and partners get in your soul finders you guys will be team Blue you will be against team Red...

*Then, when Grey introduced Shala and himself, she turned to the group. Just as she was about to tell Grey and Shala her name, Victoria said: Attention Team blue! You'll be suspended if your unable to beat Team Red... All Vanilla could do was stare.*

Shala: WHAT?! FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL!!!

Victoria: Don't raise your voice.... and welcome to the academy... here we take things seriously!!

*as Victoria walked away Vanilla scowled.*

Vanilla: Why does this still seem unfair...?

*Tan looked at Victoria, a bit shocked. Suspended! That was to drastic. No, he wouldn't let that happen, not to his new friends. They would sin, somehow. Tan knew this wasn't about who knew how to pilot the machines. This was different, this was the reason they were here. To find the heart and soul of the machine, an IC and a Pilot who bonded together. Tan hoped he and Vanilla could work together, at least well enough to help the group. But Tan had never been close to anyone, could he get close enough now to make this work?*

Tan looked at Vanilla: I..... would like it, if you would be my IC, Vanilla. I know you are going to be special, I just hope that I'm the one you are with.

* Ryu looked around as everyone started getting worried about being suspended. He didn't care much for that, though. He looked ahead at the redhead again. She was staring at him with fists clenched. She turned away to leave without saying a word. *

Ryu: What? Leaving already? Don't tell me you're scared...

* The redhead stopped and shot a glare back at him. *

Miss Lansing: I am NOT!

Ryu: Then why don't you be my IC, see if you're as hot as you think you are.

* She stepped back, surprised, but recovered quickly. *

Miss Lansing: Ha! The day that happens, hell will freeze over!

* Having said that, miss Lansing stomped away followed by the other two girls. Ryu smiled and turned back to the group. *

Ryu: Well, now to find an IC for real... Oh, I know!

* He quickly walked over to Nila. *

Ryu: Hello again! I'm not one for small talk so... want to be my IC? Just this one, I promise!

[Hiki]

*Vanilla turned to Tan and smiled.*

Vanilla: Alright! We'll make it through somehow.

[Raine]

Nila: not interested

*walks away*

grey;everyone done?Ryu right? got an ic i need the rest of you to handle the subordinates while i hand;le the captain when i dodge his attacked if you see an opportunity attack him

*Victoria was startled by a voice behind her.*

Voice: Sorry I'm late, teacher, the driver just wouldn't listen to me when I told him to go faster.

*Victoria turned around and looked down, she opened her mouth to speak but stopped....... The girl was petite and delicate, she could have passed for a primary school student, a small beauty. Her dress definitely proved her to be from the upper class side of town. Victoria took the papers the girl held out for her.*

Girl: My name is Ran Fairchild, mam, I hope I'm not to late for class.

*The other students were staring at the girl, particularly a few of the boys. Tan had to push by Ryu to see what was going on. Tan almost stumbled when he saw her, He stood with his mouth open........ except for her long hair, he could have been looking in a mirror. Ran was the same height as he was, she had the same silver grey hair, but wore hers down to her waist, and as her eyes met his, she had the same wide lavender eyes. Tan was stunned, he thought he was unusual, unique, but this girl could be his sister......... his twin.*

*Victoria was amazed, she'd heard the old saying, that everyone has a double somewhere, but this was uncanny..... Fairchild? Could she be the daughter of the reclusive senator Fairchild? People rarely saw he or his wife, and never his daughter.*

Victoria: Yes, nice to have you in class, you're just in time......

Maythan walked up to them: It's an honor to have you join our school, miss Fairchild. It's to early to try them together, maybe I should pair her with Vince....... No, it might be more fun to put them on opposite teams. I would like you to try pairing with Lara Lansing, she's the tall red haired girl.

Ran: Is she a good pilot? I won't waste my time trying to work with and inferior student.

Maythan smiled: Yes, she's one of the best in the class.

Ran walked up to Lara: So, you're supposed to be a good pilot.

Lara: Don't worry, I'm the best here, you can bank on that.

Ran: Good, then we'll get along just fine. I always have the best.

*Lara smiled as she looked at Tan. This kid may look like that wimp, but she was worlds above him, and they'd prove it."

* Ryu laughed and scratched his head as Nila walked away. He knew what she would answer well before he opened his mouth, but you can't blame a guy for trying, can you? As he was turning around, he caught Tan out of the corner of his eye. No, wait, he didn't have his hair like that... he thought as he looked again. Ahead of him, next to Victoria, was a girl version of Tan. Ryu looked at Ran, then at Tan, then at Ran again. *

Ryu: You didn't tell me you had a sister, Tan...

* Tan didn't answer, he was watching Ran with his mouth hanging open. *

Ryu: Oh, boy... she broke him...

* Victoria walked up to the group and stood in front of them with her arms on her waist. *

Victoria: OK, everyone ready?

* Ryu raised his hand quickly and jumped ahead. *

Ryu: I have no partner yet, au--

* Victoria shot him a glare that could flash-freeze anything. *

Ryu: Erm... teacher!

Victoria: Then go find one already!

Ryu: As you order, au-- ma'am!

* Ryu walked to where the rest of the first years where gathered, while thinking. Find a partner... what for? It's not like I want to be a pilot, anyway... He sighed while stopping in front of the first years. He looked at them, all happily talking and whispering away. Oh, well, nothing he could do about it for the moment. He took a deep breath and announced loudly. *

Ryu: I need someone to partner with me! Who's up for it?

* Silence. Everyone looked at Ryu as if he were crazy. Well, yes, he was, but that had nothing to do with it. Ryu's eyes moved from one side of the group to the other, wondering who would step up. After some seconds of silence, Ryu took another deep breath. *

Ryu: I sa--

???: I'll be your partner!

Ryu: *cough* *cough* ... what? Who was that?

???: Back here!

* A girl with shoulder length black hair and golden brown skin, not much taller than him, made her way through the crowd. She stood in front of him smiling amply with her hands behind her back. *

Ursula: I'm Ursula Montenegro, nice to meet you.

Ryu: Ah... I'm Ryu Kamau, likewise.

Ursula, almost whispering: Oh, I know.

Ryu: Come again?

Ursula: Nothing!

Ryu: Okay. Come on, then.
