I came into some money. (sold my big old tool box for $4000.) Now if I can just sneak some of it out before SHE puts a stop to it. :.: I bought
Squid Girl
Claymore
Chance Pop Session
Coffee Samurai: Hoshizora Kiseki (Starry Sky Miracle)

My boy got me Sound of the Sky for Christmas

My list of anime I need to watch is getting longer all the time.

I finally got a laptop computer. SHE kept promising I could get one after........... There was always another after, but this time I decided to get one. I don't need much of a computer for what I do and was looking at the budget models. The Lenovo I was looking for was sold out, but there was a Dell of a slightly better configuration there for $50 more. They checked and it was sold out, all except the demo one on the shelf. Well, I could buy that one at a 10% discount. That sounded alright by me, then I found out they were giving $50 off any open box items. So I actually ended up saving $85. Just $265 for my laptop. :) Right now they are formating it to remove the store demo software and reinstalling the factory stuff. I should be able to pick it up by this afternoon.

It has a bigger hard drive and longer battery life than the lenovo. Maybe I can get more of 5min written now.

Wow, that's a really good price :o

I want to get a new laptop, so I was looking at the Dell XPS line, but i'll have to see what's in the stores before deciding. A graphics card is a must, though, since it'll be my main computer, which means lots of games.

Windows 7 is actually pretty good, though i have a bunch of games that don't run on it... next computer i buy will have to still support XP, just for those, since they are just that damned good!

Also, I decided to stop dual-booting linux, since it's actually easier for me to have a bunch of virtual machines, depending on what i need. That wouldn't work for games, of course, since there's always a performance penalty with that.

I actually want to build a HTPC soon, but I am not sure what direction to go. At first I wanted the smallest form factor that could do 1080P over HDMI, but also consume very low power because I want to leave it on 24/7.
My other option is a medium form factor the has a graphics card the shuts down when not in use.

I need to do more research. :swt:
