"Backwards compatibility" is the one of the major problems windows is suffering from.

Backward compatibility is a good thing, if done right. My son works on that with IBM servers. They have to write software to make the old software run on the new hardware.

And I bet Sakura's computer isn't pink......... maybe soft and furry but not pink. (Sakura = goddess of moe. I know, I chatted with her about it.)

My computer is neither pink, nor fluffy. It's a butt ugly middle tower which is too heavy for me to lift yet because I have never removed any defective hard disk, just added new ones Stuff like this doesn't even have a product picture on the inet...

Yes, I remember it well, in fact, I remember when computers took whole rooms. I remember the first hard drives with huge removable discs. I remember 5 1/4 inch floppys, CPM, Osborne "portables", and lots of other strange stuff. My first computer was a VIC 20, and yes, we had a desktop Gateway back in 1995.

When I was in school, we did our calculating with a slide rule........ I still have mine. Funny to think the SR71 Blackbird spy plane was designed using pencil, paper, and slide rules, they didn't have computers.

Well GPS, I rarely say I'm cute simply because I'm not. I'm looking pretty average and depending on your taste maybe below. I've seen Windows 1.0 and a C-64 already. I guess Olray's C-64 and I share the same birthday don't we. I have also seen SNI's (Siemens Nixdorf's) computer museum. And I'd like to learn how to use an abacus.
