* Hideki stood up, bothered by Ryu's insistence. *

Hideki: No, I didn't knew. Not like I can do much about it, though... she doesn't wants me protecting her anymore.

* Hideki shook his head and walked to his classroom, looking down. *

*hideki was stop to his way to the classroom by a small elf girl*

Shouko:Don't you walk away!!!it's because of you RIRI'S LIKE THIS!!!!She can't fight anymore and it's all your fault!!Riri is crying again....Riri is being protected again....this isnt Riri and it's all your fault....i hate tschumi family!!

*shouko stuck out her tongue and jump out of the window clearly upset,she wanted to say more but Ryu glared at her*

*Aki sighed as she took in all that transpired. A war might break out if something happened to Hideki or Rina. The peace treaty that was made before would be for naught. To put it in a cliche way, everyone's fate relied on them. She hadn't expected that at all, she just wanted to attend school without being bullied and all but it ends up with her still having to fight others, still having to protect herself, Aki looked at the others and added to herself, she had to protect her new friends too. Aki assured Kimara she won't be getting into trouble anymore and left the office alone. She jumped out the window and landed gracefully on the ground.*

Aki, to herself: I wonder if skipping classes would be considered getting into trouble?

*The kitsune demon rounded the school and picked a large tree at the back, just behind the gym equipment storage. She made her way to the highest branch and sat there, squinting against the occasional light that filtered through the leaves of the tree.*

*Aki didn't even notice anyone with her until she felt a strong wind and then she was falling. She didn't scream but closed her eyes tightly and concentrated on landing with minimum hurt. When she did reach the ground with a soft thump she opened her eyes and surveyed her surroundings. On the tree, perched on the branch just below the one she was previously sitting one was company.*

Aki: Who are you? *She warily stood up, eyeing the other demon the whole time.*

???: It hurts that you've forgotten me, dani...

*Aki bristled at the insult, then something clicked. One person had always, always called her that. Daiki. Aki glared at the demon on the tree, she couldn't see the face yet but she knew for sure it was him. He had that same stance, so arrogant and sure of himself.*

Aki,hissing: Daiki...

*The demon laughed and jumped down with ease, looking haughtily at Aki.*

Daiki: You remember me! I guess you're good for that at least.

Aki: What are you doing here...*Aki kept her temper in check, it wouldn't do good to be caught fighting again. Especially when she was already cutting classes but bitter memories really tried to push her to the edge.*

Daiki: I came here to warn you...

Aki: Warn me! Why would you... *She narrowed her eyes, keeping her distance from Daiki.*

Daiki: Because, like it or not, you are a Kitsune, you are my kin.

Aki: You never considered me as one, not even before...

Daiki: Well I have to now. *He stepped towards Aki but she backed away.* Stop moving away, will you?

Aki: What and give you the chance to kill me again? I don't think so, you stay there and I'll stay here. *When Daiki, surprisingly did as he was told she relaxed a little.* State your business.

Daiki: I came to warn you about the upcoming war. Your services are needed. *Aki snorted but Daiki ignored her.* So you need to leave those so-called friends of yours.

Aki: So-called friends...?

Daiki: Aki, you have been one of the most skilled Kitsunes, I have to admit that. The council of elders admits to that, your parents had been the most skilled Kitsunes as well, you have both their potential. We need you to participate in the war against other races.

Aki: And I should, because?

Daiki: You should because these are orders directly from the Kitsune elders.

Aki: When we left that place, we left the protection of the Kitsune elders and their authority. I don't need to follow their orders. *Aki scowled and stormed away, again using her full speed. She hoped that Daiki would just leave her alone. She headed straight for the roof instead of going to class. After all, she was cutting classes.*

*Kisane was in her kitchen cutting some vegetables,she heard a small sigh,she turn to see her mother stirring the soup*

Kisane:Mother don't do tha-

Kisane's mum:why??why did you do that to Rina?

Kisane:what?what are you saying....i didn't do anything..

*Kisane smile at her mother than continue to cut her vegetables*

Kisane's mum:Don't play dumb with me kisane....Ryu and i know very well you restricted Rina's abilities....

*Kisane signing cease her work to stare at the old lady*

Kisane:so i sneak into her room last night and did a restraining spell...so what mother?it's for her own good...for her sake...

Kisane's mum:it's more of a curse you dumb woman!!If Rina fights now her life energy drains...she becomes weak!!

Kisane:I cant have them to take my daughter away to use her......to make her a weapon....she must be a normal girl...i don't want to lose her because of my mistakes!!!

Kisane's mum:so hiding your existence and the ability of your daughter will help....your disgraceful kisane...

*Rina felt really sick when she got of from her table she felt dizzy the voice of kimara seems distance when she asked her if she was alright all she saw was the ceiling before she collapsed onto the floor*

*At Osaka military base, the commander reads Mike's report and smiles. Well, he's made some friends, from several races, that's good. He talks a lot about the Kitsune girl, bet he likes her. He's made contact with the Tsuchimi family, things are going just the way they said it would. She signed off the requisitions for the computer and surveillance gear, wondering what Mike was up to with such sophisticated equipment. Well, the orders she had said to give the boy anything he requested.... anything? Hope he doesn't ask for a main battle tank, or an F16. And what about the Tsuchimi file....... most of that is classified..... well, they did say anything.*

*The principal stopped Mike before he could leave.*

Shin: You never attended school in Osaka.......... did you.... Captain Tanaka. Ya, I found out, I don't know what the military is up to, but I wont let them ruin my school. If they think they can start this race war, and then take over, they're fools.

Mike looked down at the principal his mission was becoming all to clear: You misunderstand sir, I was sent to prevent a war. And I will carry out my mission, somehow.

*Mike headed for the roof, he needed time to think, so many things had just happened. What was going on with his friends? Mike really wished he could talk to Aki, maybe she could help him understand....... or, msybe he just needed a friend. Right now, the thought that he, and his few friends, were expected to hold back the tide of war, was overwhelming him.

* When Minoru walked into the classroom, he looked around and saw Hideki. He made him a sing to come to him, so Hideki stood up and walked to him. *

Hideki: Yes, sensei?

Minoru: What are you doing here?

Hideki: Wha--

Minoru: You're suspended for the day, Hideki. Out of here, shoo!

* Hideki smiled, both at Minoru's attempt to lift his spirit by acting funny and at the ridiculous fact that schools always thought suspension was a suitable punishment for students like him. He went back for his bag then left the classroom, waving goodbye as he crossed the door and began walking around with no set heading. A few minutes later, he found himself walking through the first year's hall, when suddenly a conmotion started in Rina's classroom. He stopped for a while, thinking if he should or shouldn't go in, then decided to just take a peek inside. He did so and saw Rina collapsed on the floor. At the very sight of that he opened the door, quickly and ran to her. *

Hideki: Rina!

Kimara: Hideki-san?

Hideki: What happened?

Kimara: I don't know, she just collapsed!

* Hideki lifted her easily and quickly carried her to the nurse room, while the teacher and the other students could do nothing but stare at them. *

*Rina felt her body being lifted,kimara's voice seem long gone,she wanted to shout but she felt all life in her being gone.is it the restrainning spell*

<FLASHBACK,THIS MORNING>

*When Rina woke up she felt her body being overly tired,shaking her head she did her usual morning stuff when she went down,her father tried to atatck her as a morning training,when her father threw a punch she was slow to react but block it,her movements were slow and each time she exert herself her body weakens as if her energy were being drain she panted...Her mother came to her and hugged her telling her to relax and sit down*

Kisane:Theirs a restraining spell on you...ive sensed it the minute you came down....

Rina:What?

kisane:The training with your father proves it....

Ryu:what do you mean kisane?

Kisane:someone very powerful cast a restrainning spell on our daughter....

Rina:which means....

kIsane:You can't exert yourself or you might end up hurt...

*Aki was sitting beside the ledge of the roof. Her childhood memories assaulting her. She was drowned in so many emotions, the fear, anger, hurt...everything that happened to her. Her fellow kitsunes needed her now, didn't she want that before. To belong to her own race. Now she had that chance...if she fought for the Kitsune, she could be recognized as a hero, she wouldn't be so ridiculed. But at what cost?*

Aki, to herself: To betray my friends... *She looked at the sky as tears gathered at the corner of her eyes, she shook her head.* Can I do that? *She waited as if someone would answer.*

so no matter how it is my mother can't even get rid of this spell....no one can...and now i can't elp my friends...but why am i so weak i didnt fight...oh must be because of everything that has happened....the fact that i broke hideki's heart is making me so sad.....but i can't let him protect me knowing he has feelings for me...

*Rina opened her eyes it imediately welled up with tears*

RinA:WHATS WRONG WITH ME!!!

* Hideki jumped from his chair, startled. He stared at Rina for a few moments. She looked agitated and had trouble breathing. He took a glass of water and some pills that were next to him and offered them to her. *

Hideki: Here, the nurse said you should take these.

* He waited for her to take them from him, then sat again next to her bed. *
