*The demons heard a voice from the darkness under the trees.*

Mike: Put her down, she said she was leaving. *Mike stepped out into the sunlight.*

Large demon: Go away fool, this doesn't concern boys like you.

Mike: Yes, it does, put her down, she doesn't want to play your games.

*The large demon threw Aki to the ground.*

Demon: And you do?

*The demon's attack was like lightning, he was fully as large as Mike, and powerful. The fight was a blur, movements to fast for the eye to follow. In seconds the demon was on the ground, Mikes foot on his throat. You could hear bones snap as Mike wrenched the demons arm across his knee, the demon screamed in pain..

*Mike spun around and kneeled next to Aki, his hard eyes on the demon leader.*

Mike: If she's injured, you'll wish you were dead.

*Aki winced as she hit the hard ground. She rubbed the sore spot as she followed the fight as good as she could. When Michael kneeled next to her she gave a smile.*

Aki: It's okay, I'm fine. I've been in worse situations. *She wobbly stood up and glared at the demons surrounding her and Michael.* Stupid demons...I wasn't in the mood for fighting. *She stepped away from Michael and gave an evil grin to the demons.* So I guess you want to fight? *She was much more confident now that she had Michael with her. She looked at the obviously in pain demon leader. That was one down and six more to go.*

*Mike stood next to the little kitsune, the demons could sense waves of energy radiating from the two as Mike's anger burned brightly. He had been so close to crushing the demon's throat...... if they attacked again, he wouldn't hold back again.......... The demons were soon helping their leader, backing away, before turning and running.*

Demon leader: Your a dead man, I'll get you, next time.

Mike, watching them run off: Sure, next time..... You're very fast Aki, good thing Kimara is an excellent tracker.

*Kimara looked out from behind a tree, then came running and wrapped her arms around Aki. Kimara was shaking and tears were running down her face.*

Kimara: I was so scared...... they were going to do bad things to you..... then that big one attacked Mike, I was so afraid...... don't run away, ever again Aki........ Waaaa.

Mike: Now, I WILL stay with both of you till you get home, there is just to much happening right now. The civilian world seems more dangerous than the military. And Aki, she was ready to fight those demons. I wonder how much she actually knows about fighting? Could she have some training too, like Hideki? I'll have to ask her, perhaps we could do a bit of training too. For now, I think I need to make sure we get through today in one piece.

*Aki patted Kimara as the dog demon held on to her.*

Aki: I'm sorry for worrying you Kimara...but it's okay, I'm fine now. And it's thanks to you and Michael-kun. *Kimara let her go and brushed her tears away.*

Kimara: Just don't ever do that again...

*Aki nodded and Kimara had finally stopped crying. The three of them went on their way, dropping Kimara at her house first. The dog demon gave one last hug to Aki before saying her goddbye. Then they were on they way to Aki's.*

Aki: I'm sorry for worrying you and Kimara-chan...*She fidgeted with her finger as she and Michael stopped in front of Aki's house.*

*Before Michael could answer, the door slammed open and a beautiful tall blonde woman came out, her elven ears twiching and her bushy tail swishing around as she looked worriedly at Aki. Then the woman enveloped the little kitsune in her arms.*

Ai: Aki, Aki, Aki!!!

Aki: Mama? What's wrong?

*Aki's mother let her go and looked at her.*

Ai: Why are you asking that? You got hurt didn't you?

Aki: What? I didn't- wait...how did you know? *Aki gave her mother a curious look. The older woman was quiet for a while.*

Ai: The same way I knew when you were little.

*Aki's eyes darkened as she remembered how her mother made a spell for for. Ai had made it so that she would know whenever someone would hurt her daughter.*

Aki: I see...

*The mood just got darker when Aki's eyes turned gray but Ai noticed Michael off to one side.*

Ai: And who are you?

*Aki looked up and turned to Michael then her mother.*

Aki: That's Michael-kun, he's my friend. The one I told you about.

Ai: The Tsuchimi?

Aki: No, it's Tanaka Michael. Tsuchimi is the other one.

Ai: I see! *Ai went off too Michael, she was almost at tall as him when she stood. Ai gave the bewildered boy a smile.* So you seem like a nice boy for my little Aki...

Aki: MAMA!

Ai: Would you like to stay for dinner? I'm sure my husband would like to meet you.

*Rina woke up to find her not in her room,she felt a bit dizzy as she sat up her long hair cascaded down,she pick up her pin,her eyes seems lost as she stare at it*

Rina:w-where am i?...wha...oh the fight...

*she look at her hand to see nothing,no mark...or scar...humans could not have done this healer?...hugged her shoulders..she felt scared...she has a terrible feeling...*

* As Rina woke up, Hideki was talking with his sister outside the room. *

Hideki: ... And that's what happened.

Chisato: I see...

* He had been careful to leave out the fact that Rina's mother was an elf. Chisato was an understanding woman, but was unpredictable as well. *

Hideki: Please don't tell dad or mom. I don't want them to get worried.

Chisato: Yeah, that's never good. Anyway, I'll go wash your uniform.

Hideki: Ok. Thanks for lending me clothes.

Chisato: Haha, my husband's clothes may be a little big for you but it's better than walking around naked.

* Hideki thanked her again and closed the door after she left. He then walked into the room Rina was in and noticed she had woken up. *

Hideki: Oh, sorry. I thought you were still sleeping. I'll be right here if you need anything, ok?

*when hideki entered the room Rina turn to look at hideki,her hair moving along*

Rina:Thank you...sorry to cause so much trouble...sempai...i don't need anything but i seem to left my bag at school...

*she turns to look at the window,The wind blew agaist her hair,*

Rina;a change of wind.....a change a of wind...is it a sigh that something else is about to change....?this feeling!!!

Hideki: I'm sure one of your friends picked it up for you.

* Rina looked out the window as the wind made her hair wave. He walked inside and kneeled next to the bed, to be at the same height as her. *

Hideki: Listen, I... I have no idea what happened today. Who those people were or what they wanted... but it seems they were after me... if that is so... *sigh* I don't want you to get hurt again because of me. If someone is trying to hurt me... *smiles* Don't worry about me, I can take care of things.

*It happened so quick,Rina punch hideki on his right cheek,a very weak punch but she knew she hurt him*

Rina:BAKA!!!im worried cos im worried..i'll do what i can...not because of you...i chose to save my friends...if i see i can help them then i won't hesitate to risk my life...i know you would do the same for me...right?....isn't that how friends work?so don't ask me not to worry and that you can take care of yourself...if you say that then so will i and who will watch my back....

*small drops of tears slide down on her cheek,she look away from him*

* Hideki rubs his cheek as she talks. He notices her eyes watering before she looked away. He looks down for a second, then moves forward and hugs her from behind. *

Hideki: Sorry... I just don't want anything bad happening to you because of me...
