*Emiko glowers at Loki as she takes a seat at the table*

Emiko: Didn't you just eat some fish? You'll get fat if you eat too much.

*Rune walks in with the others* They're a weird bunch...weird but lovable. *Rune smiles secretly as she looks around the house.*

*Chichi is examining one of the books the old man said.* White magic? Maybe Rune can read this...

Rune: Chichi...aren't you going to eat?

Chichi: I'm a spirit, do you think I eat food?

Rune: Who knows? Well it's your loss...*Rune sits down at the table with the others.*

*Merenwen stayed at the table with books and looked through them carefully, she might be able to find something interesting.*

Tim: Maybe he's like my one brother, he ate all the time but he never got fat, just got taller. Mmmm, the food smells wonderful, just like my moms.

*The old man smiled as Tim told him all about his home, his journey, all the friends he had met, what had really happened at the school, interspersed with quite a few questions. In a short time the woman and her son were bringing out plates of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash brown potatoes, pancakes, corn bread, and all the fixings. Tim broke off his tale, eyes wide at all the food. Soon his mouth was to full to talk anyway. Daniel looked at the girls sitting next to him, Faelyn shaking her head and Merenwen looking exasperated.*

Daniel: You will need to have patients with him, I'm afraid, young ones. I believe he must have led a sheltered life, with no real friends. Now he is catching up, everything is just overflowing in him. Give him a little time, he will settle down, I think he has a good heart, under all that noise.

* Loki sat next to Emiko. He reached for some food and talked with Emiko before starting to eat. *

Loki: I'm a god, remember? I don't get fat as easily as mortals do.

*Tim was using his best table manners, like his mom taught him. The food was so good. After Tim finished a plate full of eggs, sausage, hash browns, and corn bread, he filled his plate with a stack of pancakes, covered with maple syrup, and bacon, then got busy eating again. Faelyn stared at him, wondering where the skinny boy was putting all that food. He must have two hollow legs.*

*Emiko stuck her tongue out at Loki then scoot her chair as far away from him as she could without bumping into the person on the other side of her (so it was only a couple of inches). When they got their food Emiko began eating her eggs. She was reaching for the salt when she realized it was very quiet. She couldn't quite put her finger on what was wrong until she glanced over at Tim, then she smirked*

Emiko: Why! I do believe this is the longest period he has ever gone without talking!

*Emiko chuckled and salted her eggs a bit before returning to eating them*

Meanwhile, Zwerver sat on the floor working on the data player. He opened a small compartment door in the side of his metal carapace and pulled out a few tools. He then began building a new power source for the data player, but not before quickly closing the carapace compartment door...

*Rune giggled at Emiko's statement as she scooped a spoonful of eggs into her mouth, she chewed and swallowed before commenting.*

Rune: At least we know how to shut him up if we ever need to.

*Emiko swallows*

Emiko: Even enough food for an army for a month wouldn't keep him quiet for long!

*Emiko butters some toast and takes a bite*
