Dinky needs one of those child's booster seats, but then we'd need peal extensions......... Actually, there are small cars now that have short and low hoods, they would be much better. I can't remember which car Dinky first tried her test in, If it was our Mercury Grand Marquis, I can understand why it would be hard. The later Buick LeSabre would have been better. Her mom isn't much bigger than Dinky, and was 32 year old when she first got her license. She took the test in that big Merc. When I was young, most cars were a lot bigger, as in the hood was as long as some cars are now. It was like using a bus for your test.

Still remember how much I laughed when I saw a friend of mine, who is around 1.45-1.5 meters tall, driving a Ford Explorer. She looked like she was driving an 18 wheeler or something like that :p

heehee! A friend of ours brought over this enormous truck once, with wheels that were darn near as tall as me. Anyway, he made me climb up into it and sit behind the steering wheel, just so he could laugh his @$$ off at me. Have to admit... it probably was quite hilarious to see me trying to scramble my way up high enough just to open the stupid door, much less get into it.
Good news: it's sunny and 60's outside, the kid is sleeping, and I've got myself a yummy iced coffee and time to catch up on AAW. It's a good day. :thumb:

I doubt you get a license for one of these in Europe. The US still had far too much oil :ho: The price for gas/fuel here has recently passed the $2 mark - for a LITER and not a gallon ok :hmm:

Hmmm... yeah some of us Americans like to guzzle gas. Not us, though! ^_^ Gotta love the motorcycle and our feet!

back from Milwaukee, Mom's heart surgery went well. she was doing as well as they expected when we left. Amazingly, they had already had her up. They had her up less than 8hrs after the surgery. The doctor said she wouldn't have lived much longer without the valve replaced. Traveled around 1500km in four days. A lot of driving.

We finally got the passanger foot pedals installed on the motorcycle! I got to ride into downtown Savannah and back last night and it was SO AWESOME. And, to top it off, we got to see the new Robert Redford- directed civil war era movie being filmed downtown! Woulda been even cooler to be an extra, but the Tall Man didn't get our applications in until the last call for them- and they were REALLY specific. They wanted women under 5'4" size 0-4 (american sizes). I'm a size five... but we sent it in anyway.... It'd be pretty amazing to be an extra in a movie like that, just for the experience!
