Journey to Erehwon The game begins

At the beginning, Zwerver had in mind to reach the other side of the land. Problem was he didn't know where he was supposed to go, what direction, or for how long in any direction. Nevertheless, he just kept walking forward. He figured that eventually he'd find some place of human shelter. Until then he had only to keep walking.
It wasn't long after he made his way down a small slope that after passing a tree he was suddenly flung back as he was almost run over by a rather irate girl.
He blinked a few times before sitting up.
"Excuse me," Zwerver began, trying to get the girl's attention, "Do you know where I could perhaps find a place to rest up... or sit without getting mauled by the wildlife?"

[Freya]

*emiko, hearing the voice, turned around in her tracks and looks begrudgingly back towards the direction of camp*

Emiko: I was with a group until they scared the life out of me. If and when I go back, you can come with me.

*emiko continues to a waterfall where she kneels at the water's edge and takes a drink. then she lays back and looks up at the stars. Her body, calming down cools as well and she begins to shiver. She decides it is time to head back*

Emiko: I suppose they can be forgiven now.

*emiko sighs and rises from where she was lying*

Emiko: Come on, let's go, follow me.

*emiko leads the way back to the camp and before they approach, Emiko questions the stranger*

Emiko: Well it is interesting I ran into you all the way out here, what pray-tell is your name?

[Bertrand]

Zwerver blinked a few times before responding. "I am known as, well whoever I run into, as Zwerver. I'm a traveler and a bit of a tinkerer as well. How shall I address you, young miss?"
While asking his question, Zwerver could've sworn he smelled something burning or something that had been burning... he mentally shrugged to himself.

[Freya]

Emiko: My name's Emiko.

*she stated briefly before stepping into the light of the campground. Emiko addresses the others*

Emiko: Well after such a pleasant awakening, shall we press on with our journey?

*Emiko surveys the group and doesn't see Loki. she frowns*

Emiko: Where did the jackass go? oh, sorry, he was a bear and a cat, he hasn't been in his true donkey form yet.

*Tim, unable to sleep, heard the noise and had come out of his tent, dressed in his green short pajamas with the glow in the dark yellow smiley face polka dots. On seeing the Panda, a very strange looking bear to him, He took out his boy scout knife and was determined to defend his friends. The little three inch blade flashed in the firelight in his trembling hand.*

Tim: Ok you bear thing, you better go away now, I have my knife, and....and..... I'm not afraid......to use it.....

*Then the real confusion starts. Tim just about faints when Emiko screams, then the bear backs up and there's another guy with his head sticking through the side of the tent, another guy is in the tent, and Emiko throws stuff in the bears face then runs off, leaving a burning trail. This was all too confusing. Then the bear turns into Loki.*

Tim: What's happening? Who are you guys? I mean, you weren't here before. I didn't know the girls were having a party, they didn't invite me...... well, no-one invites me. But why was Emiko so upset? Did you do something bad? Hey, there's a guy in the tent, he's not supposed to be in there, the girls need privacy. No wait, if it's a party maybe they invited their boyfriends. But what about Emiko? I bet she's afraid of bears. That was a mean trick, Loki, making Emiko scared. Well, I guess you really are the god of bad jokes..... or whatever. Now what am I going to do?

*Tim rummages around in his pack and finds his small but powerful flashlight, and a nice chocolate candy bar. Tim looks at the other men.*

Tim: I'm going to find Emiko. You guys just be good till I get back.

*Tim, flashlight showing his way, runs very fast after Emiko. He is hoping his candy bar is enough of an offering to calm her down and get her to return with him. But who are the strangers, and what kind of party were they having? He feels pretty downhearted that they hadn't invited him. Bet then, he wasn't boyfriend of any of them.*


*Clyde just shakes his head as Morphin hides his nose under his paws.*

Morphin: Are all humans insane? Or is it just this bunch? ....... Maybe I should go after Tim and Emiko, they could get lost.

Clyde: It probably is best to wait a while. Humans can indeed be a perplexing group, but they usually get things worked out. Tim is really acting out of character, ordering the others to behave and going after Emiko. Wonder what's gotten into him? There's hope for the kid yet, not much, but some. And chocolate is often the best thing to calm a woman, We'll see if Tim comes back in one piece.

[Bertrand]

"A bear and a cat... and then a donkey?" Zwerver asked half-absentmindedly. "A shapeshifter of some sort?"
Personally, Zwerver had absolutely nothing in the way of magic, but he had heard enough stories throughout his travels to know that magic existed whether or not he himself could ever wield it.

((Nuts, half a dozen posts while I typed mine.))

Clyde: I guess we better find Tim, Emiko is back, with another odd guy, and Tim is probably searching all over for her.

Morphin: we won't need to look far, seems he is following her trail, right back to here. See, he's just coming to the camp now.

*Tim walks into the camp and sees all the people, and Emiko with a new man. Was that the whole deal, she just ran off to get her boyfriend too? Fine, just like always, they were all having a good time, but he wasn't invited. Tim sits down with Clyde and Morphin.*

Tim, looks at the candy bar: I guess that was pretty dumb, chasing after Emiko. I thought she might be feeling bad...... i guess she didn't need this. Maybe we should just pack up and be on our way, except, they have my tent, and, well, I may need my tent, but...... I can't just take it back, now can I. *Tim takes out one of the softly glowing data balls.* I wonder if any of them still want to go with us. I wonder if I ever will find Erehwon.

*Rune smiled as Chichi returned a few minutes after Emiko and the new guy. She walked near Tim who was looking at a candy bar*

Rune: Hey? *Rune looks at the databall* Where have I seen that before...

*Chichi floats towards Tim and plops on his head.* Chichi: Hey what are you moping about? I can sense your spirit's down?

Rune: Spirit's down? Are you alight Tim?

[Hiki]

*Merenwen, being a very lazy demon thief, slept through all this commotion and when she finally woke up she was confused. Great, she thought, what the hell was going on while I was sleeping?*

[Freya]

*Emiko goes to the still standing tent and begins to pack up her things*
