Same here. Got pissed off after the first couple of changes and dropped it. I'll try to get the DVDs someday and watch it.

Scifi: to many to think about. Excellent hard science scifi I'm watching now Planetes. Not hard science, Raxephon and Last Exile.

Drama: Haibane Renmei , Gunslinger Girl, Area 88, and Noir are great.

Comedy: Azumanga Diaoh, Nadesico, Those Who Hunt Elves, Golden Boy

Shojo: Utena

Horror: Paranoia Agent, Boogiepop Phantom, Malace@Doll

Fantacy: Escaflowne, A Tree of Palme, Origin - Spirits of the Past

Just plain strange: Serial Experiments, Lain

So many more, I just cant think of them all

Raxephon - The Wannabe Evangelion, it starts out strong, but I never cared for the action

Gunslinger Girl - I like the manga, haven't seen the anime, do you know it follows the mange pretty well?

Noir - Still need to see that

Horror: Paranoia Agent - That is just so awesome, creepy, and trippy!

Boogiepop Phantom - Another show, I've been lagging

Escaflowne - Awesome show, but I need to find that Fanmade episode, funnier than heck!

Just plain strange: Serial Experiments, Lain - that it is! and so cool at the same time!

Raxephon is not Evangelion. They are based on the same story but go at it from entirely different angles. Eva isn't about the mechs, the angels, the instrumentality, it's about Shingi, his growing up and finding himself. The real story ends with episode 26.
Raxephon is the story of changing the earth, it is a deep story with some great characters and action. One scene, where the boy in Raxephon is fighting one of the attacking mechs, and it is destroying the girl in his room, is one of the best in all of anime.

Not to mention the really great theme of RahXephon.

Ditto. Still, I liked Rahxephon more than Eva.

And I had forgotten about Golden Boy, good one.

Oh yes I found it rather funny but I'd love it if people knew what I was talking about instead of bumblebees...
