Play-offs! Some one beat the Red Sox! btw Freya, you should be excited that Cleveland is in it, now beat the Red Sox! I can't stand Red Sox fans!
You don't see yourself clearly at all. You're not like anyone I've ever known. You Fascinate me.
Re: Sports!
And the Yankees aren't even in the running! Of course, Toledo's a big Indians town, but it's pretty exciting to see the Rockies in the game, too. I think this'll be their first Series.

Re: Sports!
Second World Series win in - what 100 years? I think we can go a little easy on them.
It makes me think of Evert von Benthem, who, as we all know, won the Elfstedentocht in the Netherlands back in 1985 (of course, we all know that, right?). The Elfstedentocht, as we all know, can only be held when the ice in the canals of Friesland freezes to a thickness sufficient to bear the weight of the 16,000 some skaters who take part in it. As we all know, the 1985 race was the first in 22 years, and the next one was held the following year. Everyone talked about what a shame it would have been if Evert van Benthem had lost his title after only one year, after his predecessor, Reinier Paping, had held it for 22 years. But, as we all know, van Benthem did win the 1986 race, and got to hold on to his title for another 11 years, until the next Elfstedentocht was held in 1997.
And that's what I think about when I think of the Red Sox winning the pennant.
Is anyone still reading this?

Re: Sports!
I hate it when the elfstedentocht is held.. then my father wants to watch tv which means I can't watch tv -_-.. Luckily, it's not very often (only when there's ice, which is almost never
).
Don't feed me violins.
Re: Sports!
You mean you can't watch TV once every - what - 15 years on average? How I wish I had your problems!
The 11-S-T is burned in memory because it happened on the very day we were to do our very first performance ever in the Netherlands. We drove all the way from Darmstadt to Vlissingen only to find out that school had been cancelled for this ice skating race that hadn't been held for 22 years, and we had to reschedule for a month later. They were nice about it. Let us stay and watch.
