Re: Is Anime Dying?
Actually, it's about a boy and a girl. (What a surprise!) The castle in the sky is just the destination, and mysterious place. Also called "Laputa" it's a good story. http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc ... s/2044.php
And don't sell My Neighbor Totoro short, it's really a charming story, I think you would like it.

Re: Is Anime Dying?
most stories are about a boy and a girl but in many anime stories they try to avoid relationships in naruto for example everyone is in love but noone ever get's a boy/girlfriend

Re: Is Anime Dying?
In Miyazaki's boy-girl stories, it usually ends up happy. Castle in the Sky, Whispers of the Heart, Princess Mononoke, Howel's Moving Castle, even Kiki's Delivery Service, leave you with the impression that they lived happily ever after. And if you watch Whispers of the Heart, a rather charming "coming of age" type story, Then watch The Cat Returns, a story based on Whispers. It's not by Miyazaki, but but studio Ghibli. Actually, it is supposed to be the story that the girl in Whispers of the Heart writes.
