I'm soooooooooooooooooo proud of myself. I finally took the time to colour a drawing (part of it is my current avi) and it's pretty!!! I was shocked by my own work, but then I drew another drawing today and started colouring it and it's even better (at least that's what I think, but maybe that's because I like Penelo..) I'm gonna update big time when I come back from my holiday!

Well okay, guess its time I should come clean...
Right now I am in the hospital, again...yay! I was released yesterday, it was my moms bday, so the doctor wanted to be nice! Which yay! didn't tell me...
I'll just say, that something did happen, which caused me to end up here, and now I have a leg issue (right leg).
Well early this morning, when I got out of the shower, I stumped my toe, which was already a no-no. my right leg is uber sensitive right, and plus, my dog like to like our feet, well she went and gave an infection! yay! so now I'm back with a double whammy! lol.
Yes I know, I still seem all cheery, but after what could have happen...I was seriously injured at first...

This is to balance my entry in the panic thread. I sold some clay figures! Well, a couple pieces I put up on eBay as a clearance sale. Still, every little bit helps!

That reminds me, I ment to ask you NToonz about your clay figures:
1. How much can you change their posses? I want to do a web strip useing pictures of the clay charatures and need to know if I can posse them multiple times before the arms fall off.
2. Do you only do existing charatures, or can you do some base of some drawings?

The clay isn't very posable, sad to say. They do make a sort of clay they call "Bake and Bend", but it's very limited in its flexibility. I made a piece for someone in Israel once. Reinforced the arms and legs with soldering wire - really flexible stuff. The clay held up for a time, but eventually cracked at the joints from overuse.
Now, there's a children's film using my characters that's soon to be released, called "Mercury The Magic Train". The animators on that one used photos of the figures, and then articulated them in Photoshop. You can see the trailer on Youtube:

I think I made close to 200 separate figures for Mercury, and repeated the main characters at least seven or eight times in different poses. Each piece was photographed from at least eight different angles.
As far as the second question goes, thus far I think I've managed every drawing style I've been called upon to make. That's the fun part of this - the challenge of matching the drawing style. Even my own style of drawing doesn't always lend itself well to a 3D rendition. My avatar is a character from my own comic.

JH my-son-in law, Dinkies husband, is very into claymation type video, he teaches the stuff. You could PM Dinky for his e-mail, he might be able to help with what to use.
