The Crap Shooter
Re: The Crap Shooter
My sympathies to you and your family, my friend. It is an unfortunate thing, as we get older, that we lose those near to us. It just seems that our parents should always be there. At least we can take comfort in the promises of our Lord. I pray that His Spirit is with you.

Re: The Crap Shooter
At times like these, I always remember the good times and thank the good Lord, the time I was able to to spend with those I love. I really admired my grandfather, He became extremely ill but told everyone, that he lived a good life, (he was 84 when he died) that not to treat him with anything.
I was the last of the older first born grandchildren. (I have four other younger cousin but they were born just before he became ill) So I thank God that I got to know a great man.
My heart goes out to you man. I pray for peace and comfort.

You don't see yourself clearly at all. You're not like anyone I've ever known. You Fascinate me.

Re: The Crap Shooter
I'm sorry for your loss. I'll pray for your happiness tonight, as well as for all others that knew him. Loosing family is a hard thing, and I'd expect loosing your father is one of the worst.

I will try to bring us something a bit lighter after the past moments of sadness.
Weather........ boy do we have it.....
At this time yesterday, it was 40 degrees F, that's 4.44 to you C people. Today it's -10F that's about -23C and we have 30 to 40mph wind. Gotta love the weather in the midwest. The temp is supposed to go to -20F tonight -29C with wind chill factors (that's what it feels like on exposed skin) of around -50F or -45.5C. I can't wait, ten more days and I leave for Peru for two weeks.

but back to the weather omg i can't believe i'm really talking about the weather
my sister thought her figers where frozen i thought she was wrong. But they where all red i don't think that a good thing. I'm so happy my fingers don't turn red when it's cold^^

Mai Tai's fingers turned very red and she was only out for... I dunno... five minutes at the most. And then she couldn't find her gloves.. It was kinda funny, but then again, it was not.. Wahaha! At least I have something hot to warm my fingers on (Japanese Tea). I still want it to snow though..

Re: The Crap Shooter
Friggin' wind around here... It's like we are beign hit by a perpetual tornado or something, with winds averaging 20 km/h and peaks of even 80 km/h! And that's on land. A friend from the navy who just came back from San Andres island told me winds on the open sea are peaking 130 km/h! They were supposed to practice launching and recovering helicopters from the stern heli-pad but it was impossible with those winds.
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph... because good is DUMB!

What's the temperature then? I'd actually welcome crazy strong winds if the temperature was warm enough for you to be comfortable outside. It would be exciting!
