Nope. The worst you get is a couple of girls who are being bullies, but even they wind up rooting for Misaki-chi. Her toughest opponent is her best friend, Hatoko the Miracle Kindergartner.

By the way, although I am not now, nor ever have been, a girl, I still love Angelic Layer.

Lucky Star doesn't have a bad guy either (unless they come later -- I haven't watched all episodes yet). But it's really random so for some people it's hard to follow..

There's a number of similar series that don't really have a 'bad guy'. Pani Poni Dash doesn't really, nor does Azumanga Daioh (unless you count the perv male teacher, Mr. Kimura).

I haven't finished watching Pani Poni Dash. The whole thing is just too darn weird for my poor little brain...

Okay, I just for the first time watched the episode of Azumanga Daioh where Sakaki meets the little mountain kitten that adopts her. KA-WA-IIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
