* Hideki stopped when he thought he was far enough from the restaurant. He sighed and looked up. What the hell was that? Why does Rina's father know my family? Why did I run away like that? He suddenly felt angry. He closed his eyes and clenched his fists, while trying to relax and forget about it. A few seconds later, though, someone pushed him. He opened up his eyes and reacting quickly, took hold of a light post to avoid falling. He turned around and saw a demon man wearing gang colors standing there with a not so friendly look on his face. *

Hideki: What's your problem?

Demon: You being here. Beat it.

Hideki: What? I go where I want to go, pal. This corner's not yours...

* Hideki stepped away from the light post, feeling an attack coming. As he thought, the demon charged at him, trying to tackle him, but he quickly set himself on the ground, took the demon by one of his arms and used his free arm to push the demon down, pinning his head to the ground with his elbow. The demon tried to free himself but Hideki simply applied more pressure with his elbow. *

Hideki: I can break your neck if I keep going. The way I see it, you either give up or die. Choose. NOW.

* A few minutes later, Hideki thanked the cashier and took his brand new "Assasin's Creed" video game. *

(it's time to call it a night k)

*Kisane opened the door to her daughter's room with a tray of food,she was surprise to see her fast asleep*

Kisane:You've seen to have a lot of fun Ri,*she bends down and kiss her daughter on the forehead as Ryu came in and pull the Blanket on Rina*

Kisane:Lets go it's seems tonight she won't be eating...

RYu:...are you making me feel guilty?

Kisane:no...she's been having a good time...her first friend ran away...

Ryu:you are...

*they left the room leaving rina sleeping*

* Hideki sneaked back into his room, just in time as someone knocked on his door. He quickly took off his shoes and messed his hair then opened the door. *

Hideki: Yeah..?

Minoru: Mom wants to know if you'll have dinner.

Hideki: ... no, thanks, I'm not hungry...

Minoru: Whatever...

* Hideki closed his door again and sighed as he remembered all that had happened in the day. He got changed and laid on the bed, falling asleep immediately. *

*Mike turned and watched the dog girl walk into the shop. Confidence..... he thought how he was so confident of himself no mater the test the military had thrown at him, even starting here on his own, and how it had all disappeared the moment he touched this little girl.*

Mike: Kimara..... yes, she may need to be more self confident.... but, we all have our places that we are confident and the places that we aren't. We just need to work on the weak spots. * Mike stood up, right under a basket of hanging vines. Laughing, he parted the vines and looked out.* Ummm, Urban camouflage?

*Waving goodbye to Kimara, the two walked off, Mike insisted he should walk Aki, at least to her home street. Bad things could happen, to a girl alone,At the corner of her street they said goodbye.*

Mike: I will see you again at school tomorrow, ok? I'll look for you. *Mike smiled when she told him she was sure she could find him in the crowd at school.*

*On the way to his apartment, Mike saw a boy facing off against a Young demon. This was the kind of bad things that can happen..... Mike knew prejudice still ran strongly between demons and humans in some areas, he had even seen it in the military. It didn't look good for the boy, maybe he should intervene..... but just as he took a step, the boy had the demon pinned to the ground. Seeing the fight was over, Mike walked away, shaking his head. Where had the boy learned a move like that? He was to young to be military, yet he moved like he was highly trained.*

*Mike didn't sleep at all that night, wondering what faced him at his new school. What did his orders really mean? And mostly, visions of crimson eyes, and the touch of silky green hair kept playing across his memory.*

*Aki had reached home, smiling all the way.*

Aki: Tadaima!

*At her shout a pretty blond woman came out from the kitchen wearing an apron while holding a spatula. She had elven ears and a cute bushy tail.*

Woman: Welcome home, dear. Dinner is almost ready.

Aki: OK mama, is papa home yet?

Ai: No, dear. He called earlier saying he might be home late. Why don't you go change.

Aki: 'kay.

*Aki went upstairs to her room to freshen up and change. Half an hour later, she came down wearing shorts and an overlarge t-shirt. When she went to the kitchen, she saw her father. He was a large man, looming over her mother. He looked like the cold businessman he was. But for all him coldness when he was dealing with work he was a big softie concerning Ai and Aki. Like Ai he had elven ears though he had a bigger and bushier tail than his wife.*

Aki: Welcome home papa! *She threw herserlf to the big man and she was enveloped in strong arms.*

Kyo: Hey there. You're growing larger and larger every year! *Aki refrained from frowning because it wasn't true, she stopped growing when she was starting middle school. She only reached her mother's shoulder when she stood. Which was so unfair, because she always ate the right food and exercised and all those things her mother said she should do.* So how was my kit's first day?

*Kyo had put her daughter down and Ai an affectionate kiss on the cheek. Aki grabbed a stool from a corner and sat.*

Aki: It was fine papa. I made friends!

Kyo: Oh, who are they? *Kyo was grinning at the happy expression on Aki's face.*

Aki: Well, there's Akiyama Rina-chan, she's an elf but she doesn't look like much...you know like me. Then Fushibi Kimara-chan, she's a dog demon with so cute dog ears! They're both first years. And I met two second years. Tanaka Michael-kun, I met him at a flower shop where Kimara-chan works...he missed his first day because of some mix up, I don't think he's human...there's something about him that's different but he looks like an angel... *Aki blushed at what she had said, she tried to cover it up by just continuing*,and there's this guy, Tsuchimi Hideki-sempai. He's the only human amongst the people I made friends with. *At the last name Kyo stood still. Aki noticed it and looked concerned.* What's wrong papa?

Kyo: Aki, does that Tsuchimi know you're a Kitsune?

*Aki thought for a while before nodding.*

Aki: Hmm...yea, I think I mentioned it when we were talking. Is something wrong?

Kyo: N-no...nothing. I just heard that name before. *He gave a grin and ruffled Aki's hair.* I'll tell you when I'm sure, alright?

Aki: Sure papa. *Aki had a nagging feeling about her father's behavior but just shrugged it away.*

Kyo: Aki?

Aki: Mmm?

Kyo: Be careful alright? You know the world isn't full of nice people.

*Aki gave a sad smile, her crimson eye dulling until they were grey.*

AKi: I know that papa...I've known that for a long time now.

*Aki left the kitchen saying that she would wait for the food in the living room. Ai turned to her husband with a small frown.*

Ai: Kyo, you know how Aki's nature is. Don't make it harder for her to trust what could be her real friends.

Kyo: I know and I'm sorry. It's just the Tsuchimi name is widely known for hating all races except humans.

Ai: Yes, I've heard of them too. They aren't very merciful towards other races.

Kyo: I just don't want to lose our baby girl like...

*Ai had put an arm around Kyo.*

Ai: I know, your mother...but Aki, she may not look like it but she is a full blooded Kitsune and she's proven more than once how she's more capable of Kitsune magic than anyone else. She can protect herself.

*After a quiet dinner, Aki had excused herself and went to her room. Feeling the self-pity coming she willed herself to sleep.*

*Michael finally got out of bed, just as the sky started to lighten, maybe some exercise would help, a short run, 10km should do. After his run, Mike cleaned up and got ready for school. He checked the items he had requisitioned and put them in his backpack. Orders were for surveillance, but if need be....... to be effective in a defensive situation, one had to know the terrain, time to recon the school. Best now before the other students started to arrive.*

* Hideki woke up before the alarm went off, carefully placed some pillows in the bed to make it look like he was still there, then hid in the closet. A few minutes later, the alarm rang and the door was kicked open. His dad rushed in with a bamboo sword in hand and hit the bed several times before noticing he had been tricked. Hideki quickly opened the closet door and kicked the bamboo sword out of his father's hand, then blocked a kick and stepped back. He moved forward and in the last moment pushed his dad with both hands, placing one of his legs behind his dad's knee to make him lose balance, but his dad reacted quickly enough to grab him by the arms and pined him in the ground with an arm lock. *

Koichi: Ha! Thought you could defeat me easily!?

Hideki: Gah! I give up, I give up!

* Koichi let him go and stood up smiling. *

Koichi: Anyway... Chief Oishi called me this morning. He said a young demon was found all tied up near the shopping center last night. He told the officers that a gang had done that to him but he didn't believe him.

Hideki: What's that got to do with me?

Koichi: Well, the demon described one of the attackers as a "young human with a Domo-kun t-shirt"...

* Koichi picked up one of Hideki's t-shirts from the floor. *

Koichi: Kind of like this one.

Hideki: Erm...

Koichi: Was he giving you trouble?

Hideki: Kind of...

Koichi: You could have given him a lesson.

Hideki: Whatever...

* Hideki ignored the rest of the speech. He took a bath, got changed and left towards the school. He didn't felt like having breakfast. *

*Rina woke up she didn't sleep too well,like usual she took a shower and got dressed in her uniform pinning her hair up as she moves downstairs...she stop infront of a door leading to the dining with a small intake of air she went inside,she walk to sit next to her grandmother,a small plastered on her face*

Rina:Ohayou...

Rina's Grandmother:Goodmorning Ri-chan,how are you feeling?

Rina:I'm okay....*she told her Grandmother as she blocks easily a punch from her father*mORnING father...

*Kisane walk to the table grabbing her husband ear and pulling him to a seat beside her*

Ryu:OW!!ow!!kISANE!!that hurts....

Kisane:No fighting at the table now everyone eat your breakfast...mother please remove your throwing daggers under your dress and do not try to toast my hussband i want a normal brea-

*Kisane sweatdrop as she is now dodging a flaming arrow and a few plates,her mother was throwing spells at her husband her husband was fighting a hand in hand combat with her daughter while both dodging the spell,a vein pop up on her forehead clenching her fist she slams it on the table breaking it into*

Kisane:I SAID I WANT A NORMAL BREAKFAST!!!!!

*Rina knew how scary her mother is,knowing she is about to argue she quickly took a toast and ate while waving her hand*

Rina:sorry mum but i have to go to school early my friends aki-chan and Kimara-chan might be waiting for me...later

*she ran out of the door,the mask of her smiley face disappear once she step out of the house,she was worried because Hideki might not talk to her today*

* Hideki saw Kunikida walking through the school gate and catched up to him. *

Hideki: Hey, Kunikida, how's it going?

Kunikida: Good, actually. I got a new game.

Hideki: Right, me too. How does Assasin's Creed sound to you?

Kunikida: Sounds nice, but I got Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Hideki: Damn you, Kunikida...

Kunikida: Hahaha, new you would say that.

* Hideki and Kunikida stopped near the entrance and kept talking about videogames, waiting for the bell to ring. *

*Rina walk in the school gates,she looks around it was quite empty,i am too earlyshe looks around to see any of her friends till she sees Kimara sitting under a tree,her eyes widened as she spots kunikida and hideki,she smile at kunikida who wave at her,she wave back without looking at hideki, she walk pass them saying a quick hello before walking to kimara*

Rina:Ohayou!!Kima-chan!!

Kimara:R-Rina-chan....your early?

Rina:heh?your early too kima-chan,
