* Kelly dropped Hideki at Kunikida's house and left after greeting him. Hideki followed Kunikida to his room and the two of them sat in fron of the TV. *

Kunikida: I see you're feeling better.

Hideki: Yeah, a little. Hey, I need a favor.

Kunikida: Shoot.

Hideki: I need you to give Rina a letter.

Kunikida: Ok, I take it back, you're not feeling well. I know you're the kind of person that likes saying stuff in a face to face conversation. What's this about you wanting to send a letter, again?

Hideki: Well... I want to try and explain things to Rina... how I felt, what really happened, how I feel right now... but it's almost like she's avoiding me lately.

Kunikida: I thought as much. Ok, do you have it on you?

Hideki: No... I haven't written it yet.

* Kunikida stood up and pointed towards his desk. *

Kunikida: You know where everything is. Take your time, I'll be downstairs.

Hideki: Thanks, man.

* Some time later, Hideki gave the folded letter to Kunikida and left towards Level Zero. Kunikida got changed and left towards the school again. Maybe he would be lucky enough to find Rina there. *

*Kelly dropped Mike off at his apartment. Mike checked his computer but still no message from Yuki. Mike sighed, it was to early to expect her online so he wrote her a pm............. Mike said he hoped he hadn't gotten Yuki angry at him some way, he hadn't heard from her in days, and if he did, he wished to apologize. Mike told her about his day, the ups and downs. How the girl he liked wasn't in school. He found out she had received a gift he'd gotten for her, but she probably didn't want it. That he had learned that a friend had died while rescuing the girl, and he had been very hurt. Told about the tall girl from his class coming to comfort him. He told how he had almost lost a friend, and that they had a big fight over it, but came out friends in the end. Mike said he thought his mission here was finished now and maybe he should ask again for a transfer........ Mike sat back to wait and see if yuki came online.

*Samuel came in to Kelly's apartment. Kelly sat in a chair reading a book.*

Samuel: You really did it this time. Even Dr. Freeman was a bit pissed at all the damage. He did get excited though when he watched the videos. When you slow it down, damn it looks brutal. He called some guy from the air force. I couldn't quite hear everything, but he told the guy about it and it sounded like they were accusing each other of hiding secret research..... at least they were laughing about it....... Interesting book? What ya reading?

Kelly: Norse mythology, about Thor.

Samuel laughed: The war god..... You haven't been into that since you did the paper on itt in school. What brought this on?

Kelly: Thor's son.

Samuel: I didn't know he had kids in the legends.

Kelly: Actually he had several.

Samuel leaned over Kelly: So, which of Thor's boys is it you Like?

Kelly: The one Hideki's been messing with....... Michael.

Samuel stared at Kelly then broke out laughing: That's a good one...... I suppose Mars is Hideki's dad.... I thought Thor had red hair, Mike's a blond. *Laughs*

Kelly: But his wife, Sif, is blond. I thought those legends were just stories too, but look at this, it's a description of an amulet, a medallion, the key to Asgard. It fits the Medallion that Mike's wearing, the one that glows when he fights. *Kelly told Samuel about Mikes strange story.* Who knows what races live in the universe? Could these legends actually tell some truth?

*Kimara went on line and read the PMs to Yuki from Sargent Sagara, like Aki asked her to do. Kimara didn't like what she read, Mike sounded like he was giving up. Kimara remembered what Mike said that morning, he thought Aki didn't care anymore...... What could she do? She thought of Daiki.... she couldn't let Mike give up. She had to get Aki and mike back together...... Aki said Mike always followed Yuki's advice....... Hesitantly, Kimara opened Yuki's chat line to Sargent Sagara. Kimara had to convince Mike to stay, to try again. But what would she say?*

*Kimara had re-read all the messages, copy-paste them on MS Word and then printed them all-except the last one, the most recent-, then got to answering the pm. She told "Sargent Sagara" that he didn't do anything offensive just that she had been a quite occupied before and she apologized. Kimara looked at the short sentence before continuing. She told SS that he shouldn't give up without confirming what the girl felt about him because she might just be feeling shy about something. Kimara typed in that SS should really try to talk to the girl and she also probably liked the gift he gave her only she hadn't said so yet. "Yuki" told SS that it couldn't have been anyone's fault that the friend died, Kimara paused at that...she also felt very sad when they learned that Shouko was dead but it really wasn't Mike's fault so Kimara typed in something to at least convince her friend that he shouldn't blame himself for it. Kimara thought about commenting about the tall girl, which must be Selene but thought better of it. She just said that it was good to have a friend to comfort you...emphasizing a little about the friend part. "Yuki" had said that she was glad that he didn't lose another friend, surely reseolved fight made the bond of friendship stronger. Kimara had typed in that Mike shout NOT TRANSFER BACK because he would be leaving his friends and they'll definitely be sad to see him go.*

*Kimara rechecked the message she constructed before sending it, then stuffed the printed messages inside her bag to give to Daiki so he can deliver it to Aki. Now she was to wait to see if her message helped Mike. Kimara hoped it did.*

*Seiryu stood up and dusted himself off, amazed at how late it was already.*

Seiryu: (with a note of sadness in his voice) I don't think you can be blamed for that. That vile woman Dr. Halsey (he spits out her name angrily) does things to people. No matter how safe you feel or how well guarded you are, she always finds out how to get her way in the end. But if I were you I'd let it go, if your friends really are your friends than they'll forgive and forget. C'mon we should probably get back to you house. I promise to not tell you parents that you skipped classes if you promise not to do the same with me!

Rina:sempai?

Kunikida :A..huff....let...letter.....fr-from Hideki...

Rina:Thanlk you sempai....but tell hideki it's ok...I don't want an explanation i just need time alone....time to think....i don't want to thrash away good memories Onegai please tell him im sorry and that we are good friends...

Kunikida*he was surprise*:Im sure that yo-

*Rina shook her head, her eyes weary of sad news, she just wanted a peace mind,Kunikida saw this,he nodded after all this girl just wants peace with everyone even if she hurt her and hideki, she wants to hold on to memories and he had no say in this, sighning he wave them goodbye*

Rina:....I wonder if i shuld have read the letter, come sei-kun mum is waiting...

*Mike was surprised to see a reply from Yuki. She usually wasn't on this early. Mike read the message, then reread it. He was glad to hear from her, Yuki was a wise person, so much better at this than he was. Mike sent a note back to Yuki.*

*Mike told her how happy he was to hear from her again. That he had missed her, and her wise advice. Mike told yuki that he wasn't very sure that the girl he liked was shy about something, after all, she had been spending all her time with the other boy. But Mike said he would try to talk to her, maybe she would be at school tomorrow. If he could just get her alone once. Mike thanked her for her sympathy about his friend's death. Mike didn't know why it had hit him so hard, but he'd never had someone he knew die before. Mike told Yuki he certainly didn't want to hurt his friends they were all he had, but didn't know if he could stay around and watch the girl he liked with the other boy. Maybe it was another of those things he had to learn. Mike said he would have to think about it. Maybe, in time, things would turn out better.*

Mike stood across the street from Aki's house and watched as Daiki was let in. It Made Mike more unhappy. Mike had just asked to see Aki and her mother had turned him away. She said Aki was not allowed to have any visitors, no explanations...... So why was Daiki allowed to see her? It was obvious who her family preferred.*

*Mike walked away with his hands in his pockets, probably better she didn't see him today anyway, she would want to know why he looked so beat up. Mike hoped he could talk to Aki tomorrow, at school, though he didn't expect to hear anything good.*

*Daiki walked into Aki's room after knocking, she was on the bed like always, looking at the ceiling.*

Daiki: That's becoming a hobby of yours, you know.

*Aki looked at Daiki and smiled before returning her attention back up.*

Aki: It's the only thing I can do.

Daiki: You can watch t.v. downstairs, can't ya?

Aki: I don't want to watch downstairs...I want to go out. I want to talk to others! *Aki sat up and smoothed her hair.* Did you give Kimara-chan the letter? *Daiki nodded and took out a tied parcel from his bag.*

Daiki: She told me to give you this. *Daiki looked at it curiously.* What is it anyways?

*Aki beamed and took the bundled papers.*

Aki: Thanks! And it's nothing much...just some messages.

*Daiki wanted to pursue the topic but he felt that Aki might just avoid it so he let it drop.*

Daiki: I don't think they bought the sick story very well. Rina-chan might not at all, she didn't look that convinced when we told her.

Aki, sighing: If I know Rina-chan she's probably feeling guilty thinking this is all her fault. I want to go there and say it's not her fault...

Daiki: But you can't.

*Both fell quiet just staring at each other. Daiki blinked, if he wasn't mistaken Aki's eyes were getting duller and each day that passed her eyes seemed to be more grey than red.*

Aki: Daiki...

Daiki: Hmm?

Aki: Can you deliver another note for me?

Daiki: Yeah of course...to Kimara-chan again?

Aki, shaking her head: Well, no...

Daiki: Rina-chan, then?

Aki: To Michael-kun.

*That was a blow to the heart...Daiki was quiet as Aki waited patiently. He ran a hand through his hair and looked like he was in some internal debate, which was true. Daiki said he would be her personal messenger but he didn't want her and Mike together, she belonged to him, right? Daiki looked at Aki again, she was quietly looking expectantly and a touch bit desperate at him. No, she didn't belong to him...not even when he had his mark on her. That was just her body he mark, he couldn't even reach into her heart and soul.*

Daiki: I will...just give me the note and I'll give it tomorrow.

Aki: You promise?

Daiki: Yes.

Aki, grinning: Pinky promise?

*Daiki looked incredulously at Aki but nodded anyways, amusement evident in his face. So they hooked their pinkies together and promised. Daiki would deliver the note to Michael tomorrow, no matter how much he didn't like it he would do it. And as time passed Daiki bid goodbye and left wondering how Michael would react tomorrow.*

*Mike stopped at the bottle shop on the way to his apartment. He stood looking at the array of drinks as the shop clerk came in.*

Clerk: So, you come to buy more Saki?.......??? Woh... what happened to you?

Mike: Ah, I got in a little disagreement with a friend of mine, we got it worked out though.

Clerk: Oh, "you should see the other guy", I suppose.

Mike: Na, Hideki hardly has a scratch.

Clerk, surprised: I don't think I want to meet this Hideki guy....... So what you having, more Saki?

Mike: No, Saki doesn't work. It doesn't drowned any problems, just makes you feel worse.

Clerk, shakes his head: Ah.... I'll bet it's girl trouble. Did she run off with another guy?

Mike, Ya, I guess so.

Clerk: Some advice son, forget her. There's lots more fish in the ocean, if you get what I mean. You're a good looking guy, I'll bet you have some other girl hanging around you already.

Mike: well, ya, there is one.

Clerk: There you go. Just get what you can from them and move on. No need to get bent over one, there are always more around. You just take my advice and pick up on the one that's following you now.

*Mike bought a cola and left, thinking. Yuki had advised him to wait and try again, she had always given good advice. But this was an older man, with much worldly experience. Mike thought of the dark haired moon goddess, Selene, she was nice to him. Maybe the store clerk was right. Mike was very tired when he got home, he slept like a log that night.*

* Hideki was in his room studying when Kelly knocked on the door then came in without waiting for an answer. *

Kelly: Kunikida called, he needs to talk to you.

Hideki: Must be about that favor I asked him to do... where can I--

Kelly: Just go outside for a while, you haven't left since you came back from his house.

Hideki: ... Ok...

* Hideki walked through the maze of halls until he finally got outside, out of the range of the mobile phone jammer installed on Level Zero. He took his phone and dialed Kunikida's number. Hideki talked with him for a few minutes but hung up before Kunikida could finish telling him what she said after not wanting to receive the letter. He looked up, trying to calm himself down. So now... I'm alone... I'm beginning to understand what father said so many times before... "If you can't trust your family, you can't trust in anyone. Not even yourself." *
