* Shouko jumped back as a green blast passed right next to her. She looked at Linda, advancing while aiming the magic gun at her. *

Linda: Stay back from my son, you... beast!

* Linda fired again. *

Shouko:beast???thats a bit harsh....*shouko clasped her hands together letting a spark of light come out,her spell try to hit hideki again but Linda shielded her son using the barrier device,the barrier cracked and linda knew that she would lose.Shouko lifted her other hand*

shouko:This will be the last we see each other*A large dark misty ball came out above her*

*Kimara was on her way to Aki's house when she saw Mike, with a tall beautiful girl, enter one of the shops and sit at a table. Kimara stealthily watched through the window as Mike ordered breakfasts for them...... This wasn't good, it's the girl from second year, Selene, she'd seen her leave with Mike the night of the dance. Kimara wondered, should she mention this to Aki....... she knew Aki still cared for Mike. Kimara really wanted Aki and Mike back together, then maybe Daiki wouldn't spend all his time around Aki. Kimara walked toward Aki's house, this wasn't good at all.*

*Mike woke early, he decided that maybe a good run would take his mind off things. Mike took a long run along the ocean. On the way back he stopped and leaned on the wall, watching the sun rise over the ocean. Mike turned when he heard his name called.*

Selene: Mike! Hi.....

Mike: Oh, good morning, Selene...... I didn't expect to see you here.

Selene: I like to come out and run early, it's my favorite time of day, the sunrises are beautiful.

Mike: Yes, it is beautiful....... I've never watched a sunrise like this before......... I didn't know you were into running, you aren't in any of the athletic clubs at the school.

Selene: I wish I could join some of the clubs, but my dad insists on picking me up as soon as school is out. I do a lot of training at a private dojo.

*Mike wasn't surprised, it was clear to see that Selene kept herself in excellent physical shape.*

Mike: Oh, what arts do you train in?

Selene: Mostly Jujutsu, Kendo, and Aikido. Some others at times.

Mike: Wow that's cool, I have some training in those too.

Selene smiled: Really! Would you like to come with me to my dojo, we could train together. *Selene blushed.* It could be fun.

*Selene wanted very badly to ask Mike about his relation with Aki. She couldn't understand why the small girl would have left him, but if she had, Selene would be all to glad to pick up the pieces.*

Mike: I can't, not right now anyway. There is something important I have to do for the next few days........ But ya, I think I would like to join you, maybe when this is over........ *Mike looked at Selene's smiling eyes.* Say, I'm really hungry, how about I buy us some breakfast. You can tell me what skills you've learned.

*They found a nice shop and Mike followed Selene inside. for a time, at least, it kept his hurt pushed to the background.*

((It's not a class day is it? I'm confused of the timeline...I'll go and assume that it isn't a class day ))

*Kimara was at Aki's doorstep. She hadn't rung the doorbell or knocked yet, she was still deciding whether to tell Aki what she saw or not. On one hand Aki needed to know these things but on the other it would be like ratting out Mike. But if she didn't tell Aki, it would be like lying to her friend. Kimara sighed in frustration, what was she to do?*

Aki: Ohayou Kimara-chan?

*Kimara blinked and looked at Aki who was holding the door open. She was in a simple t-shirt and shorts.*

Kimara: Ah..ohayou...

Aki: Come in.

*Kimara was ushered in and directed to Aki's room. There, the dog-demon sat down on Aki's bed.*

Aki: Do you want anything? Tea, juice, water, soda? Any food?

Kimara: Tea would be nice, thank you.

Aki: Gotcha!

*Aki shuffled to the door and called for her mother to bring up a tray of tea. Then Aki shut the door and sat on the chair in front of her computer. It was quiet, both girl just sitting there looking at each other. Ai came in to bring the tea and both girls thanked her before she left. And again it was quiet.*

Kimara: Aki-chan-

Aki: Kimara-chan-

*They started and stopped at the same time.*

Kimara: You go on...

*Aki looked at Kimara, hesitating for just a while before she sighed.*

Aki: I have to tell you something...it's about Michael-kun. *Kimara waited in anticipation as Aki gathered her thoughts.* You see, well how do I say this? Well I guess you could say that I've known Michael-kun before he even studied at the school.

Kimara: What? How?

Aki: Online...*She whirled the chair and turned on the monitor screen.* He's the "Sgt. Sagara" I've been chatting with for some time now. *Kimara stood up from the bed and went closer to the computer.* He knows me as "Yuki"...

Kimara: He doesn't know your Yuki? *Aki shook her head.* But you know he's Sgt. Sagara? *Aki nodded.* Isn't that a little unfair? *Then Kimara remembered what she saw earlier, Mike with Selene having a breakfast...date?*

Aki: Well, in my defense I only realized it.

Kimara: How?

Aki: When he kept detailing how our day went...I thought at first it was a coincidence but after a couple of "coincidences" I tried to track all his previous PMs and well it just sort of got together. He's in the military, you know. An orphan...*A twirled around in her chair, Kimara was watching her.* I don't know the whole story yet but look at this...*She opened a window and Kimara read the PM. It was from a "Sgt. Sagara" saying that he was sorry he couldn't go online the past days since he was in the hospital, how he escaped with a kitsune girl, he described how Aki looked at the dance and detailed what happened at the dance. He said that Daiki-a kitsune boy- left his date with another human, he didn't know if people did those things but it felt wrong to him. Kimara frowned, feeling the disappointment from that night but she continued on reading. Mike took Selene home, Kimara took a peek at Aki who was just gazing at her window and continued on reading, it was a long PM. Mike also put in the events from yesterday. She read along and her eyes widened when she got to the part about Aki almost being shot.*

Kimara: It says here...that...

Aki: Yea...I almost got killed? *Aki gave a somewhat bitter laugh.* I didn't even know that there was a gun pointing at me! But he said it there and he saved me...I can't recall how many times he's been able to save me. It's like he's always there when I need him the most. Even when I don't realize it.

*Kimara looked at the kitsune that looked like a guilty child. She continued reading until the end, she couldn't help but skim the part where Mike told how he felt when he saw a gun pointed at Aki.*

Aki: I don't know what to do...

Kimara: Have you tried to spend time with Michael-sempai? You know, just the two of you?

Aki: I did once but then Daiki got in the way and I somehow ended up spending the day with Daiki... *Aki pouted and crossed her arms over her chest, she looked like an upset child right now.*

Kimara: Why don't you try again? I'll keep Daiki-kun away! *Kimara pushed the nagging thought that she wasn't just making the suggestion for Aki's sake. She wanted to spend time with Daiki too and if Aki wasn't in sight she was Daiki's favorite companion.*

Aki: That's a good idea! You think he's free today? Maybe I should call him! *Aki stood from her chair and briskly covered the distance to her phone.*

*In all Kimara's life she had never cursed or cussed, not even mentally but this time the word formed in her mind and her eyes widened. If Aki called now and Mike was with Selene, on their date(?)...Kimara stood up.*

Kimara: Why don't you try later Aki-chan?

Aki, the phone in hand: Why? It would be better if I called now right? I need to make sure he's available.

Kimara: What troubles me is if he's not...Well, you know it's still quite early. He could still be sleeping...

Aki: But it's almost nine? Michael-kun once told he, through online...that he had the habit of waking up early so I'm sure he's awake.

Kimara: But is he alone? Well, I guess...

*Aki just smiled and dialed Michael's number.*

((Does Michael have a cellphone? Otherwise I'd be calling to a house phone in a house that's empty. ))

* When Linda woke up, she found herself alone in the park. She mumbled several curses as she took out her cellphone and dialed a number. *

Linda: H here. Start plan B.

???: May I ask who was captured, ma'am?

Linda: Hideki, my son.

???: I see. We'll start right away.

Linda: Thank you. I'll be there later.

* She closed the phone and walked back home to get ready for another day at the lab. *

*While Mike showered at his apartment, his cell phone rang several times, he didn't hear it. Mike got dressed and put his phone in his pocket. He didn't check for messages, he hadn't had a cell phone before and never remembered to check. Mike headed to Kelly's place, he was running a bit late to meet up with Hideki and Samuel. Hideki had a lot to learn. Mike hoped that maybe Aki would be at Kelly's place too. If he could just get rid of Daiki, he could talk to her.*

*Mike found Samuel in front of Kelly's shop.*

Mike: Hey, is Hideki ready to go?

*Mike thought Samuel looked at him a little strangely for a moment, like he was a bug or something.*

Samuel: He's not here, and neither is Kelly, I've been trying to call her, but I don't get an answer.

* Kelly walked towards Samuel and Michael. Her clothes and hair were all messed up. *

Samuel: What happened to you!?

Kelly: We have a really serious problem, Samuel... I lost John.

Samuel: You WHAT!?

Kelly: Elves attacked us, that Shouko girl bodyguards or something. Dr. Halsey tried to help, she had portable barrier generating devices but they weren't strong enough for the spells that girl used... they took him, Samuel.

* Samuel punched a wall, leaving a noticeable crack in it then took out his cellphone. *

Samuel: Dr. Freeman is NOT going to be happy.

Kelly: Just make sure they send my armor... and a gunship squad for close air support.

* Michael looked at her surprised, but before he could say anything she began walking towards her apartment. *

Kelly: We have to get John back whatever it takes! He's the most important of us SPARTANs!

*shouko had run into a place where noone came,she had put a levitate spell on hideki,his body above the ground following her,she lay him down gently on the ground*

SHouko:hideki welcome to my secret place....*giggles*me and Rina used to play here,you see aftre this lake and deep in the forest is where our village is....im sorry just pretend with me for a while....and then *she look back at him and smile*You will be able to see Rina again...

*Ryu kick the wall,in frustration*

Ryu:woman how long they are going to keep us here!!!!

Kisane:how am i suppose to know...*glares at her husband*after that drama dialogue you made why are you yelling at me!!!!

Ryu: That cos your father put us in here and you can't do nothing,I DO NOT ENJOY BEING LOCKED UP IN A CAGE!!!

Kisane: BAKA WHERE NOT IN A CAGE BUT A CELL!!!!AND WHAT DO YOU WHAT ME TO DO THEY'VE CUFF ME WITH BINDING SPELLS AND IF YOU SHOULD KNOW WHO GOT CAUGHT EASILY JUST NOW!!!*The two jump into a glaring contest kisane's mother sigh these too just reconcile and thats how they show their love indeed Rina is a unique child*

Kisane:Ryu??shouko will be alright?right?

Ryu:im sure she can deal with things well....better than us

* A pair of UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters closed in quickly mere meters over the top of the trees. One of them swayed right and began circling the place where Shouko had landed on earlier with Hideki. Two mercenaries inside scanned the ground through the sights of a machine gun and a sniper rifle while the other helicopter hovered nearby letting another group of mercenaries rope down. The mercenaries advanced towards Shouko and Hideki, using a GPS tracker. A few moments later, the noise of a sniper rifle being fired could be heard. *

Sniper: Missed my target, it's running towards the ground team!

Mercenary leader: Ground team, do not engage, she's a powerful mage! I repeat, DO NOT fight her!

Mercenary: Roger, flanking.

* Shouko took cover from the sniper on the air but she knew there were more people around. She looked around, trying to see where they were. These guys are pros... She jumped behind a tree and fired a couple of spells to seemingly random places, but she actually barely missed the mercenaries. One of them managed to fire a burst at Shouko before one of his partners pulled him. *

Mercenary: Move! If we stay to fight her we are doomed! Let's get the boy and get the h*** out of here!

* The mercenaries rushed towards Hideki, guided by the GPS tracker. When they found him, they secured the perimeter and raised him to the helicopter. Shouko appeared briefly and fired a single spell at them, hitting the group this time. A few minutes later, the two helicopters were heading towards Linda's lab. *

Mercenary leader: Everyone, report.

Mercenary: We have our target secured. Two dead, four wounded... and she only used a low level spell...

*1 hr later,Shouko reached kelly\s apartment,she sighed this is going to be hard to explain...she saw michael and samuel and wave one hand*

shouko: Hi!you think you guys can call everyone...cos Hideki's been taken to where Rina is

*Rina found herself on a hill where she usually meets hideki she smile looking at the boy resting on her lap*

Rina:you call me....why??

*giggles,while she plays in his hair*

Rina:Your such a spoil kid you know that....time for you to wake up...i want to see you....i want to show you how much i can control "it" now...
