I don't really have a favourite for each genre but overall my favourite is Ah! My Goddess, with You're Under Arrest coming in close behind

hi speedfreak, good choices. I really like You're Under Arrest, and did you know that Ah, My Goddess came about by accident. Originally Bell Dandy was just a picture drawn to advertise an art contest. So many people asked what manga or anime she was from that the artist decided to create a story for her.

Oh, why not post in the introductions thread, that way we can all welcome you.

so far the ones i really like is Azumanga Diaoh and Ranma 1/2
