Re: Journey to Erehwon The game begins
*Rune looks at the new girl standing in front of her with a hand out.*
Rune: My name's Rune *Rune takes the hand and shakes it then she gestures to the flying spirit beside her head* This...is Chichi. Say hello Chichi.
*Said flying spirit frowned.* Chichi: Hello...*Chichi eyed Merenwen* you must be the demon. I can tell she's not all thrilled about Rune...
Rune *smiles excitedly*: Oh! So you're the good demon...Nice to meet you!

Merenwen: I guess I am, since I don't really torture that much and all that... Nice to meet you too. Were you lost?
Don't feed me violins.
Re: Journey to Erehwon The game begins
*Tim jumps down from where he had been, standing on Clyde's tall back.*
Tim: Hi, my name's Tim. Your name is Rune? That's nice......... I saw a rune stone once. Are you named after a stone? These are my friends. You met Merenwen, she's a nice demon. This is my camel Clyde, and that's Morphin, he's a wolf, he came with Chin, she's over there. Chin's an angel, but she doesn't fly very well. Merenwen can do neat magic, she's teaching Emico. That's Emico, she's human, like me, but she can do magic. And..... oh, where's Faelyn...... there she is, she's really small, cause she's a fairy. She can do powerful magic too. Hey, Clyde, Morphin, and I are the only ones that can't do magic. That's not fair....... is it cause we're boys? Do you do magic, Rune? It would be cool if you could do magic too.
Clyde pushes Tim: Tim, take a breath boy. *Looks at Rune.* Welcome to our group, Miss Rune. It's nice to meet another on our way. We are searching for the data balls that are the key to the oracle at Erehwon, and then searching for the fabled oracle itself.
Tim: That's right, when we get to Erehwon, the oracle will tell us all the answers to life the universe and everything. Then I can go home, once I know the answers to everything.
Clyde nudges Tim, before he gets to wound up again: You don't appear to be dressed like or have the accent of the people of this area. What brings you to this land, Rune.

Re: Journey to Erehwon The game begins
*Rune blinks as she listens to Tim* Wow he can sure talk a lot...
Chichi*resting on Rune's head*: You should answer the question one at a time Rune...
Rune: Right, well...I'm not sure if I was named after a stone. I don't really remember much from from human life except my name. And I can do magic too but Chichi is much, much better than me and sometimes it's not fair...*Chichi jumps on Rune's head* Hey!
Chichi, lazily laying on Rune''s head: That couldn't have hurt.
Rune: Well it didn't but it could have...*Returns her attention to her other companions* Well we started up far North, it was really cold there. Then somehow Chichi got us lost in the forest after we left one town. *Chichi bounced on Rune's head again earning a quick glare from the girl* Anyways I guess we have the same goal, I'm suppose to look for the Great Oracle of Erehwon so I can become a Full Angel and get my wings!

Re: Journey to Erehwon The game begins
Rune, nodding happily: Alright! It'll be more fun when you're with others, right Chichi?
*Chichi sighs on his resting place, it's useless to make Rune think otherwise so why not.* Chichi: yea...

Tim: Oh! you're an angel? Chin is an angel, but she has wings. Did you go to Erehwon to get your wings, Chin? You could show us the way to Erehwon. But you didn't tell us you went to Erehwon. Do you know how to get there, Chin? If you were there, why don't you know the answers to everything? Maybe you didn't have the databalls. I have some of the databalls, but there must be more. Rune, do you know................. *Tim notices the girls have started walking away.* Oh....
Chin turns back to Tim: I haven't been to Erehwon, I was born with my wings.
Morphin: Tim, perhaps it's best to let them have some, girl time, to themselves.
Tim: Well, I guess so.
*Tim, Morphin, and Clyde, go back to their fire, which is burning quite well by now.*

*Rune sighs as walks with the iother girls*
Chichi: Oh that human, now Rune's all unhappy. Hey, Rune...
*Rune takes Chichi of her head and smiles at him*
Rune: I'm alright Chichi...
Chhichi, sighing: If you say so...The difference between Chin and Rune is that, Chin was born as an angel and Rune...
*Rune's stomach starts to grumble*
Chichi: I guess someone's hungry...*Rune blushes*
Rune: Oh, shut up.

Merenwen: Do you want some food? I can get you some if you'd like...

Re: Journey to Erehwon The game begins
*Tim walks up to the girls, carrying a bag he had taken from Clyde.*
Tim: Umm, heres some bread and cheese and smoked fish and stuff. I thought you might be hungry. I still have lots of that money, so we can buy more food when we come to a village tomorrow.*
*Tim quickly turns and returns to his warm fire. Tim takes his small stringed instrument from his pack on Clyde's back, then sits down, leaning back against the big animal. Tim softly starts to play a tune on the old lute. He's a bit apprehensive about playing where others can hear. In his land, men don't play music or sing. They derided him, ever since he was little, because he like to play the lute and sing. His Grandmother had given him the old instrument, and told him he should play and sing all he wanted. She told him he had a very nice voice, and, many years ago, some of the best musicians were men. Tim had to hide his love of music, but he hoped maybe it was different here. Beside, there were no boys around to tease him.
Tim: Why are girls so different, Clyde? I mean, well, with my brothers, I didn't care if I did something or said something that got them mad. They might hit me or call me names, but then we just forgot it. It never really mattered. But...... with these girls...... I really don't want to do things wrong...... to get them angry. It makes me feel.....ummm..... sort of.... I don't know, just sort of bad. But I don't know what it is that I shouldn't say or do. It's like when you have a bad dream, when you know you have to do something but you don't know what to do. You have to do something, it's your destiny, but you're afraid it will turn out all wrong.
*Tim plays a melody on his small lute, and starts to sing in a soft clear voice.*
Tim:
Lead me from tortured dreams
Childhood themes of nights alone.
Wipe away endless years,
Childhood tears as dry as stone.
From seeds of confusion, illusions,
Dark blossoms have grown.
Even now in furrows of sorrow,
The dark still is sown.
My life's course is guided, decided
By limits drawn
On charts of my past ways
And pathways since I was born.
Tim: I'm really glad we found these friends on our journey. Even if I don't understand girls very well, and they make me feel kind of funny. They are so nice to have along with us. I hope I don't disappoint them, I hope we find all the answers to everything. I hope they are always my friends.
*Tim starts to sing again.*
I carry the dust of a journey
That cannot be shaken away
It lives deep within me
For I breathed it every day
You and I are yesterday's answers
The earth of the past turned to flesh
Eroded by time's rivers
To the shapes we now possess
Come share of my breath and my substance
And mingle our streams and our times
In that infinite moment
Our reasons are lost in our rhymes
