Very cool pic of the deer. You should put the feeder up high and see if you can get him to stand on his back two legs.

A couple of nights ago, two deer were by the bird feeders about ten feet from my window. I had the lights out and I stood by the window watching them. I tried to take a flash picture through the window but it didn't turn out. Funny thing is, the flash didn't bother the deer at all. I did get a picture with a low light setting, not very clear though. I put the game camera back outside, maybe they will be back and it will get a picture of them.

Back from foods (Deer) to good things:

I might get my Raspberry pi tomorrow. Gonna be in "Raspberry heaven"
Purrhaps JHawkNH can help with advice how to set it up? :hmm:
O-kun is busy with his new (and meowingly more expensive) QNAP server thingy :pif:

Why didn't they have things like this when I was young. I started playing with electronics by building vacuum tube circuits...... solid state was building a crystal radio. I could have had a lot of fun with things like this and the arduino
http://www.arduino.cc/ so many things you can do with electronics now.

Hehehe... his server didn't arrive but is stuck in the mail. He's a crazy programmer :pif:

Didn't need any help with my Raspberry Pi, the system is running just nicely out-of-the-box.

Current plans are: Creating a VPN route between my computer and my moms, connecting the Raspi to the internet by wlan, accessing my pictures, music and videos by ftp allowing both of us to play everything on both computers in any town. (I doubht I will be able to play her videos due to bandwidth restrictions. I have cable.)

Should be straightforward :hmm:

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I use to post all the time from work, but for the last 4 months work has been absolute hell.

The funny thing is I just got a Raspberry Pi for Christmas. I am going to you mine to control my underground sprinkling system. There are so many fun things that you can do with it.

Well the system is working (watching videos from afar) but we have very poor dsl lines. The Raspi is too slow to resize the HD videos on-the-fly. So I have to do it on my computer and put it on some usb stick. Damn. Olray's version is running nicely and it can recode videos just nicely, HD included.

A very interesting toy. :pat: *pat self*

glad you are having fun with it. I wish they had things like that when I was a boy. I had a lot of batteries, motors, switches and relays........ oh, and vacuum tubes.

Thought my dad had come to the end of his time, we hurried to Milwaukee to see him, hoping to get there in time, but when we got there, we found he had rallied and they were even getting him to stand up. They are sending him home today. I know at 90+ years, his remaining days are few, but at least he is back out of hospital.

In two days, we leave for Sicily...... pretty close to your area Sakura, it should be a fun trip.

Good thing: We got a security update for our phpBB 3.0.X version. So it's not completely dead. It still twitches. :thumb:
