I survived my first week of full time, getting up at 5am work. It's all so new and different, and I have a lot to learn. I'm glad I have the first week done. In a couple of months, this will be routine and it'll be all good!

Saw my very first total knee replacement surgery today.... and it was SO COOL. Seriously, they use real saws and drills and hammers- it's more like construction than surgery, except there's blood and bone fragments instead of sawdust and wood chips. But OUCH. I will have to be in really rough shape to ever agree to have that surgery done to me!!

I've found (even) I can make lineart for my comic with pencil so that'll save a whole lot of work lineart-ing. The only downside: I have to do everything perfectly ;-;
When I've added shades and such to my practice panels I'll be sure to post 'em here, but I don't have my tablet here so it'll have to wait until I'm home..

Seen alot of this stuff in various hospitals. Also people dying from lung cancer - seen them smoking in the hospital with enough drugs inside to make me instantly faint

People are strange, seems lots of them desire self destruction.

I bought a new movie player to take on my trips. It's a Samsung Galaxy player. It's exactly like a smart phone, without the phone........ it's just a smart. It could take me years to learn how to use the darn thing. I just hope I can figure out how to put my anime on it for trips. I know I'm getting old when my 5 year old grandson is showing me how to work the thing. Probably my biggest problem is my fingers are just way too big for those little icons and keyboard.

It looks like the free program "Handbrake" can convert movies for my Galaxy player. Arc Soft has a convertor that looks nice, but I'd have to pay for it. I have an old version that came with my old player, but it was before these new Android players came around. The new version can recognize your device when you connect to it and convert and install the movie onto the device. But, I'm too cheep to pay for it.

The ads say it can convert any video into any video. I have a license I no longer need. (iPhone!)

Thanks for the offer Sakura, that convertor seems to be aimed at the apple equipment. It might work well for this though. Handbrake is doing a nice job of converting the AMV's that I have on my computer. Some of those were created at such high bit rates that none of my computers can even play them as they are. I had to run them through handbrake just to be able to play them. I wonder why these guys are making them so you need a super computer to be able to play them.

We went to Dinky's place yesterday. Her little guy is growing and up and walking. Now he can get into so much more....... Muahhahahhah. GO for it Ryker.
Dinky's family got me a great birthday gift, a starship Enterprise pizza cutter. I'll have to take a pict of this thing and put it on the site, it's great. The only thing better would be if it cut using phasers.

Oh, and Dinky is working on her book again. I got to read a bit............. Surprise coming!! You're gonna love this.
