The Crap Shooter

part of my birthday present, driving a tank, is a chance to fire a gun at a shooting range. They have an arsenal to chose from, everything from small caliber up to the 50 caliber machine gun. The size and expense of the ammunition determines how many shots you can take. You can also buy more ammunition if you want to keep shooting.

On Tuesday we found out that in the next 90 day they are going to be laying odd the entire first level support staff and moving their work to a new facility in a different state. This doesn't involve my job, but it I can see the writting on the wall. They were first level support and I am second level.

Looks like it is time to polish up my resume.

For how long did they keep the first level support then?
Usually the Indians who do the 1st level support now are awfully ineffective and they will hopefully return to a regular support in a few years - either that or they just spit on the customers.

The first lvl support is in the Home Office here in Minnesota. I am not sure how long they have had it, but it has probably been decades. The company built a brand new "Technology center" in Iowa recently and they have decieded to move the jobs to that building so that first level is not split between two locations.

Tried to turn on my old video camera and it won't do anything, not even with the ac adapter plugged in. Darn, and I still have the tape from our last trip in it.

Been way, WAY, WAAAAAAAAAAY too busy with work this past month. hopefully there's the holy week holidays all of next week, so i'll be able to participate again, but dunno after that...
