*Rina drop the files on Kunikida's desk and walk to lean at the wall next to the window,she felt kimara's worry eyes n her as she came beside her*

Kimara:Rina..Back there you said you saw...um...Hideki

Rina:shhh!!Kimara....D-don't...it was just my imagination...haha my headache must be getting worse...

*Aki had jump next to the two eyeing them she was about to ask when Rina place her hands on her mouth*

Rina:Guys!!!shh!!please....it's nothing!!

Kimara:But Rina.....what did that woman did to you...that your so afrai-

Rina:N-Nothing...I Don't know...i Dont remember but each time i see her....i get this weird feeling...anyway please dont tell the boys especially hideki....

*She raise a thumbs up at them and smile*

Rina:Oh almost forgot....Kimara-chan did you hear...I'll be staying with your family for the holidays...

Kimara:Oh yeah...My mum told me...it will be great...How about you aki-chan you can come over at my house....we will be takin care of the flower shop

Rina:yeah aki...it would be great just us girls....But first we have to do our best in the upcoming exams in two weeks...

Kimara:Hai!!

*Aki studied Rina as she stopped her and Kimara from asking any more questions. Kimara had said something about Rina seeing something that they couldn't see. Aki made a mental note to look it up when she got home.*

Aki, nodding enthusiastically: That would be great! I'll ask my parents when I get home and call you if they agree. *Kimara and Rina nodded. Aki shook her head when Rina mention the upcoming exams.* I almost forgot about the exams! *Aki sighed.* I hope I remember whatever lessons we have, with everything that happened I'm not sure if I'll pass.

Kimara: It's alright Aki-chan, you're very smart! I'm sure the exams will be a snap for you.

Aki: I hope so Kimara-chan... I really don't want to take any extra classes.

*It was nearing class time, so Kunikida and Selene got up to leave. As they walked out Selene approached the other girls.*

Selene: I..... I'm very sorry about what troubles my family caused for you. I don't know how I can ever make up for it. I hope you will accept me into your club. If there is anything I can help with, just let me know. I'll do anything I can.

*Kimara smiled up at the tall girl. She could understand the girls shyness, so much like her own.*

Kimara: What your father did wasn't your fault, Selene. I'm glad you joined our club. I'm sure we'll be very good friends.

*Selene was happy as she walked out, they hadn't been angry with her, she'd found some new friends.*

Kimara turned to the other girls: Hmm, with the exams coming, it might be nice to have the top student in the second year as our friend.


*Kunikida stood by the door waiting for Selene. He had a big grin while watching the Selene talk to the other girls.*

Mike: I told you she'd like you, if you just tried talking to her.

Kunikida: Ya, I didn't think........ I mean, what would a girl like her be interested in me for. She's sweet and intelligent, and she's built like....... ah, I mean..... just look at her, she's beautiful, she's like a goddess or something.

Mike: Right, she couldn't be interested in a dork like you........... *Laughs* You're smart, and your a nice guy, any good girl would be interested in someone like you.

*Mike watched the two walk away, hoping things would work out for them. Well, it was about time to see if Aki was ready to walk to classes with him.*

*Mike walked Aki to her classroom. As Aki turned to step into the room, Mike reached out and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her back against himself. Mike wished Aki knew how he felt, but he didn't know what to say, what words would be right. He just held her a moment and as she tilted her head back, looked down at her smiling crimson eyes.*

Mike: I'll see you at lunch, Aki-chan.

*Mike let her go and headed for his classroom. In the room, Mike almost laughed when he saw a grinning Kunikida being grilled by several of the other boys. Mike could easily guess what that was about. Mike sat down in his seat, next to Selene.*

Mike: You and Kunikida seem to get along very well, Selene-chan.

Selene blushed furiously: Kunikida-kun is very nice. Even when we were in grade school, he never said mean things to me. *She blushed even redder.* He asked me to go out with him....... He 's so intelligent and handsome, and gentle, I never thought someone like him would be interested in me.

*Selene had told Mike how the kids had made fun of her in grade school. She had grown very tall and awkward early on, by ten years old she was the tallest child in school. It was only in high school that a few of the boys had caught up to her. She had also developed breasts sooner than the other girls, which led to some cruel jokes from jealous classmates.*

Mike laughed: Funny, he said pretty much the same thing about you....... Except he thinks you're a goddess..... I'm glad you two got together, I know Kunikida wanted to get to know you, but he was to shy about it.

*Class started. Mike hoped school would finally settle down into a normal routine. Things had been pretty crazy since he got here.*

*Mike sat under the tree in the schoolyard, waiting for Aki to join him for lunch. Something must have held her up. Mike saw Kunikida and Selene headed for the clubroom, probably to play video games. Mike remembered what Selene had said about Kunikida, Mike wondered what Aki thought of him. Was he nice? Did she think he was intelligent, or handsome?? After the events of the few weeks they had known each other, she couldn't think of Mike as being gentle. Mike thought of the man he had killed when he almost shot Aki, of the fight at the research compound, and of pounding on the evil kitsune Osamu till he couldn't move anymore. What must Aki think of him? What could he do to show her he wasn't just a destroyer. Mike tried to be nice, when they had gone out, but he didn't know what to say, or what to do. He wished he was like Hideki, or even Kunikida, they knew how to treat a girl. Mike felt like he was out of his league here. What talent did he have that would please Aki. Mike was no artist, no musician either, he wasn't even good at the sports at school, since he hadn't played those games. Mike sighed and looked up at the sky...... then smiled. He could fly...... Maybe that would excite her, maybe she would like to fly.*

*Daiki stood by the door, tense, he quickly searched the group of students for Kimara. He relaxed a bit when he saw her with Rina and Hideki. Daiki looked down at the note he found laying in his locker. It read "She's not your kind, you can't have her. Mixing races is an abomination, you and your friends will pay. We'll stop you. Next time I won't miss." Daiki intently searched the area for any sign of trouble, The note crumpled in his hand, then strode quickly through the crowd to Kimara's side. He would have to warn Hideki....... and Mike...... he'd tell them later. Daiki watched the crowd, his claws flexed, he would tear the throat out of anyone who threatened Kimara........ or any of his friends.*

*Mike saw Daiki walking through the crowd and involuntarily tensed. Mike remembered what Daiki had said about a possession mark. Mike looked around for Aki, and relaxed a bit when he didn't see her with Daiki. Mike looked at his laptop, he had been searching the local airports, maybe he should try to find out what that possession mark meant............. later, right now he was checking int the services at the local airfields.*

*Aki stared at the two bento boxes. Her mother told her Mike would appreciate it if she made him lunch so Aki did. The problem now was she was too embarrassed.* What if he doesn't like it? Or if he's allergic to the ingredients I used? Oh jeez, I could put him into a hospital. *Aki pursed her lips thinking if she should give the bento box to Mike or not.*

Aki, to herself: Well...he can either like it or not! *Aki grabbed both and nodded to herself then mumbles.* I hope he likes it.

*Aki headed out of the classroom, the hallway was deserted since everyone had gone to lunch. She walked briskly since she was already a few minutes late and Mike was waiting for her. A sudden jolt ran through her and Aki whirled around trying to catch something. When there was nothing Aki sighed and shook her head. Now she was more late! Hurried she ran out.*

*Mike found a listing for what he wanted, an air school and service that rented planes. They had just the plane he wanted too, one of the latest powered gliders. It's electric motor was quiet, and gave a two hour range on just the batteries. The thin solar panels on the wings and use of the motor as a generator when gliding greatly extended the range. It was unique, with it's two place, side by side cockpit seating........ That would work out perfectly. Mike had learned how to fly a glider during his training, it was one of his favorite things to do. Now Mike just hoped Aki would want to go flying with him. He'd ask he as soon as she showed up................. Mike looked up at the girl in front of him and smiled. Mike didn't realize how relieved he was to see his friend there.

Mike: Hi Aki...... Would you like to fly? .....Oh gosh...... that didn't come out quite right.

*Mike noticed that Aki looked a bit apprehensive, she had her hands behind her and was kind of biting her bottom lip. Now what could it be? Was something wrong........... or didn't she like flying? Maybe it was the way he said it. Mike felt he just never could quite say the right thing.*

Mike: I didn't mean that..... I mean, I did mean it, but I didn't mean it like it sounded........ No, that's not right..... what I meant was I want to take you ....... Ah.... if you want to, um, we could rent a plane and .....

*Mike stopped, turning red faced.......... why couldn't he just say things right. He felt like an idiot again. He wished he could be cool with the lines like the other guys were.*

In the meanwhile... Sakura was here, too.

*Aki blinked, she had been gathering up the courage to give Mike the homemade lunch when he asked her if she wanted to fly. Then he started to ramble. Aki tried to keep up but Mike suddenly stopped talking then he was turning red. Aki belatedly realized that Mike was blushing. Somehow that made her giggle. The sound was a little muffled but it was unmistakable, her eyes twinkled and she pressed her lips together, the corners twitching upwards ever so slightly. Her hands clutched both bento boxes tighter behind her, the nervousness she felt earlier dissolved. She gave a sot relieved sighed and smiled at Mike, who had turned a bit redder.*

Aki: I'd like to...I mean the flying...we could go do what you said. *Aki's smile turned a little shy as she sat down beside Mike. With a deep breathe she brought the two lunches out, plopping one on her lap while offering the other to Mike.* I wasn't sure what you liked to eat so I just made the usual...you know, rice balls and stuff.

*Mike heard Aki giggle and got even more embarrassed. His words just got all twisted up whenever she was around. Well, at least he made her smile again......... Mike Stared for a moment at the box she held out for him. He was surprised and delighted, this was something she had made just for him. Mike carefully took the box.*

Mike: Wow....for me?.... ah, thanks..... Um, I know it will be just great. *And it really was.*

*Aki couldn't have found a much better way to please Mike. The old saying about a way to a man's heart is through his stomach, isn't far from the truth. Mike had spent years eating military food, and lately, his own cooking was mostly whatever came in instant packages....... This was certainly a real treat. It tasted so good, he just wanted to pick Aki up and kiss her right there, except, there were all the others around........ Mike tried hard to eat politely, and not just gobble the good tasting food down.*

Mike: This tastes wonderful, my kitsune hime. You are talented in many ways. Well, I have one talent, I can fly, and I found a where we can rent just the right plane. It's a powered glider. Once you get up to a good altitude, you shut off the motor and it's the quietest smoothest ride you can experience. I think you'd love it.
