That's what I did yesterday. That and I have had it on the net trying to get the ms updates, but the Kapersky internet security, and spyware doctor are both running so I should be fairly safe. Also, system mechanic shuts down a bunch of security holes.

I don't get my updates from MS, I download them off other places. You could try to do this here.

one of the first things I do on MS systems is deactivating automatic updates from MS. It helps. :)

All the virus scans, and spyware ect. scans come out negative. not even a tracking cookie. Oh well, I got the new hard drive today. Now all I need is time to install the whole works again. Computers can be such fun.......

Sorry I haven't been around this week. I have been dealing with car problems. I finally got it fixed though. I will see you guy tommorrow at the chat.
