*After Mike had rested Aki was allowed to visit inside the room. She smiled when she entered, still feeling a little tired. She had never tried using so much magic to dispel a magic that strong. She sat down next to Mike.*

Aki: How are you? I hope it didn't hurt much...that arrow, I guess you already know it's mixed with kistune magic. *Aki sighed, the first suspect would be Daiki. She was suspecting him too. Everything was so overwhelming, Mike getting hurt, Daiki being suspected, the dance coming up.*

*Daiki stared at the dog-demon in front of him, she had a look of determination in his face, something that wasn't usual in her normally calm expression. That made him smile, a soft genuine smile.*

Daiki: Thanks, Kimara-chan. * Kimara smiled. He leaned against the fences and sighed.* Do you know what Aki thinks?

*Kimara's smile fell but she tried to get it back again.*

Kimara: No...she went with Michael-sempai to the hospital.

Daiki: Oh. Well that's good. She needs to get checked up too. I sensed a strong source of magic from that feather Hideki was holding. I bet she had a hard time dispelling it.

*Kimara ignored the fact that Daiki didn't say an honorific as she tried to remember what happened when Daiki first saw Mike with that arrow. She knew Daiki didn't do it. He couldn't have done it. She, she didn't know what she'd do if Daiki really did hurt Michael.*

Mike's very tired eyes looked up at Aki: Thank you Aki, I'll be alright now. *Mike tried to smile.*it's just a scratch...... I'm just so tired. Mike closed his eyes* It was so bad, like I couldn't move. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I knew...... if I could get to you, you could fix it, you're very special. Mike's eyes closed, he couldn't stay awake anymore.

*Outside in the hall, two police detectives talk.*

He: I thought they would send Ryu, doesn't he usually handle things in the area around the school?

She: They think he has plenty to do, with the kidnappings still not solved. Do you have any info on the boy.

He: Very little, he transferred here from Osaka, was privately schooled before, don't know how that happened, they said he was raised by government foster care, has no family. Trying to find anything about him is like trying to find hens teeth.

She: I suppose that's why they sent me, to talk with his girlfriend. see if she can give us any leads. There's some kitsune boy at the school that might be involved, seems he likes the girl too.

He: What the hell are these kids coming to, shooting each other over a girl........ what ever happened to a good fist fight out back?

She: I said the kitsune might be involved..... I just think there's more to this than fighting over a girl. Probably one of those gang problems...... *Sighs* well, maybe the girl can help. *She walked into the room and quietly up behind Aki.*

She: Gee, the doctor said he's a big guy, he wasn't kidding. Good thing he is, doc said he's lucky to be alive. He looks like an angel or something........ I'm Detective Myuka, I would like to ask you some questions if I could. I'd like you to tell me everything you know about Michael, and if you can think of anyone who might want to hurt him. *They sat in the chairs in the room as Aki told Myuka everything she knew.*

* Kelly's specialty on Level Zero was infiltration and espionage, so this was a piece of cake for her. She had planted a parabolic microphone on the building right across Michael's room and was now disguised as an insurance agent, listening on the conversation of the two detectives. Sierra-Alpha had sent her the files on Michael but she didn't found anything she hadn't read before. She made a mental note to check the files on that Daiki boy, she was sure that he was who the detectives were referring to as "kitsune boy", since he was the only kitsune that ever got close to the group on a regular basis. So far, it didn't seem like the attack had anything to do with John-117, which was good because it meant less paperwork for her later. She took out a PDA and started taking notes of the little details she caught from the detective's conversation with Aki. The conversation was being recorded anyways, but it was on her experience that one should never trust a mission to only one device, plan or operator. As she thought about this, she wondered just who might be her backup operator on her current mission. She would have to ask Sierra-Alpha next time she got a chance. *

*Aki sighed and told the female detective of what she knew about Michael. First was the basic facts, then what he usually does after school. She told Myuka that Michael would be with the club then he would escort her home.*

Myuka: Well, do you know anyone who would like to hurt him?

*Aki looked at Micheal, it felt weird thinking that someone would want to hurt Michael, he was so sweet and kind. But she knew from her own experience that everyone had enemies no matter how kind they were.*

Aki: No...not really.

Myuka: What about that *Myuka looked at her clipboard.* Atsushi Daiki?

Aki: Daiki?

Myuka: Yes, he's a kitsune and the arrow that was shot was covered with high level kitsune magic.

*Aki bit her lip as her gaze shifted from Michael to Myuka.*

Aki, in a soft voice: I know he's the prime suspect but...I just don't think he'd do it. I don't know...Daiki - *Aki paused, she didn't really know how to say it. She felt like Daiki couldn't do something like this and if he did he would have done a lot better on covering his trail. He wouldn't have used kitsune magic, for one and he would have assured that he had a strong undeniable alibi.* I just think that Daiki couldn't have done that. *Aki looked straight into Myuka's eyes, her crimson gaze glowed slightly.* He wouldn't be so stupid as to leave a scene like that with him being as the prime suspect. I'm sure.

Myuka: Really? Are you sure that it isn't some kind of trick?

Aki: I'm sure. *Aki nodded once. Myuka saw that the little kitsune had reached her verdict. Well it was time for her to talk to that Daiki boy and find the truth.*

[Raine]

*Rina heard the door open,she move away just in time from hideki,blushing*

???:Sorry did i disturb?

*Rina shook her head and look up to see Rina,she seem mad at her*

Rina:ah no!no..not at all...so Hina-chan,what do you think of having students to sing at the dance,but we have to do the copies now and have em audition after school,hmm i know it's a short notice but im sure everyone will be excited especially girls who would love to sing to someo-

Hina:Thats a lousy idea....

*Rina was a little taken aback,but she smile at Hina*

Rina:hmm,You're right......i should have plan this three days before the dance...

*others members came in and they all started helping with the dance preparations,Rina got into the stage testing the equipments she the announce*

Rina:OK...everyone...i have made some copies...that i would like you all to distribute today around the school...i have place...now two people will be in charge of the roses to give the girls....

Naku:Roses?why?

Rina:*smile*well we came up with the idea.....The girls will be receiving Roses....now although they were asked by the boys the girls will be put in a room*she pointed upstairs(forgot to mention that in this hall,it's grand and have large stairs like a Cinderella walking down the stairs of the ballroom)now the boys will be done here waiting....as each girl descends a rose will be given and she will present it to the one she wish to dance with....The first song is the opening...

Hina:what's the point of having that?she came with a boy so basically the boy will know it's him....

Rina:i told the idea of the Rose to be given to boys but the members...said that the opening dance would not be as easy for whoever gets to give a rose to the guy they want has to dance....

Hina:But what if the guy refuses?

Rina:well,i-i*Hina was challenging her too much,she felt boxing with her ears*Hina-chan,i doubt anyone would ask someone that isnt their date.....after all ive heard every girls in school got a date....so,basically it's ok...since each of them got to give a rose to their dates...Right?

Hina:what about the guys?

*Rina clench her fists it annoy her a bit,but she smile*

Rina:well,Hina-chan shin-san has arrange that the guys can get dates that are outside the school....and everyone has agreed on this idea....i don't understand why you oppose it so much...

Naku:That is cos she got rejected pret-

Hina:Oh shut up!!!

*Selene went searching for any of Mike's close friends. She had heard the rumors, everything from minor injury to Mike was dead. Selene was worried, in the last week she had spent some effort to be around Mike when he wasn't with Aki. She liked Mike, he was kind and friendly, even if she wasn't his girlfriend, she had become good friends with Mike. Selene Knew Mike was going out with Aki, but she knew Daiki was also interested in Aki, maybe someday, relations change. Her dad said the same thing, things could change, she should keep trying to be friends with Mike. Selene stopped Kimara and Daiki in the hallway.*

Selene: Kimara, please...... I heard Mikael-kun was taken to the hospital, but there are so many different rumors, I don't know what to believe. Do you know what happened, please, can you tell me?

Kimara: I don't know for sure, Selene........ Mike was hurt very badly, I just hope....... we have to wait till we hear from Aki.

Selene: But what happened? I heard stories, that someone tried to kill him.

Daiki: Someone shot him in the back, with an arrow... an arrow with a magic spell on it. Someone wants him dead.

Selene: But why? Who would want to hurt Mike, he's so nice.

Daiki: Hmph... I can think of a few who would. Daiki walked off.

Kimara: I'll let you know as soon as I hear something, Selene. *Kimara followed Daiki.*

*At the hospital the doctor told Aki the situation, Mike would probably be sleeping for many hours, he seemed very worn out for some reason. He would survive the injury but it would take some time to heal, and they would have to watch for infection. The doctor thought it might be best for her to go home for the night and come back tomorrow, Mike might be awake then.*

*At the police station.* Myuka: So, you questioned him, what's he like?

He: Well, the kid tried to act tough, but he was scared. Could he do it? Well, maybe, but I'd say Daiki was more of the kind to challenge Mike to a fight for the girl.

Myuka: but Mike's really big, and strong looking.

He: I don't think that would matter to him...... And, we checked that message he got, a shop keeper remembers him being there, pacing back and forth for a while, so that should let him off the hook.

Myuka, doing some mental calculations: No, not quite.... it's a stretch but it doesn't rule Diaki out. Damn, they aren't involved with gangs, and unless this Daiki kid is a genius at setting up alibi's and an idiot at leaving evidence. Aaaahg.... nothing fits.

[Raine]

*Rina sigh,she was tired of all this as soon as kunikida came into the room she flung him the files and walk off,she had to find kimara,she was worried for her friend,she call aki*

Rina:hello aki?how is Michael sempai??

*With a sigh of relief she hung up the phone and place it in her pocket,she felt relieve when aki told her he was alright.she kept walking*

*Finally alone, the dark figure looked across at the Altan clubroom. His bushy tail twitched in agitation.*

Figure: How the hell did he make it back to school? What is he? That spell should have dropped him in his tracks..... He even knocked down my second arrow. Damn...... Well, he might die yet, I know it was a good shot. *Sighs* If he doesn't I'll get another chance, I just have to make sure next time. I'll get him, and the others too. Then I'll have her, no one will be able to stop me.

*At the police station*

He: Another thing, Myuka, I talked to one of his friends, Kunikida, seems there was a magic spell involved, a bad one, meant to kill.

Myuka: Oh great, just what we need. Did he know if it was kitsune, or another race.

He: No, but it seems that Micheal's girlfriend broke the spell, that's what saved him.

Myuka: Aki did?? How could she break a spell, I didn't think any humans could do that.

He: Ya, well seems she's part kitsune .

Myuka: Damn, that too? There's just to much pointing toward that Daiki. He wouldn't be that careless.

He: Maybe, don't credit him with to much smarts, he's a first year........ and he's just a kitsune.

Myuki gives the officer a glare: I won't hear that kind of talk again.

* Hideki watched the whole conversation in silence, knowing that anything he said would only make the tense atmosphere explode. When Rina walked out the room, Hina walked up to him looking as if she wanted to say something. He suddenly stood up, taking out his cellphone. *

Hideki: Oh! Just remembered I have to make a call! Excuse me.

* Hideki left the room, sighing as he closed the door. Suddenly, his cellphone began to ring, surprising him. What the!? Oh... it's Kelly... what would she want? He answered the call, walking away. *

Hideki: Hey, how's it going?

Kelly: Pretty good, sales are up and-- wait, wait, that's not why I'm calling.

Hideki: Uh? Did something happen?

Kelly: Of course something happened! There's a rumor going around your fanclub that one of your friends was attacked. They are saying everything from "it's just a bruise" to "he's dead"! What happened?

Hideki: Ah, yeah, he got attacked. Someone put an arrow right through him... I'm... sure he's gonna be alright, he's one though SOB.

* Truth was, Hideki wasn't really sure himself if Michael would be all right, but he figured it couldn't do any good making Kelly worried. *

Kelly: Have they caught the attacker yet?

Hideki: I don't think so. We did find a kitsune bow and arrows near the scene, though, so...

Kelly: I see... let me know if you hear anything, ok?

Hideki: Sure, see you later.

* Hideki hung up and looked out the windows of the club building. On the next building over, a shadow suddenly moved. When he tried to focus on it, it was already gone. Am I... seeing things... again? *

* Kelly put the phone away and looked down at the school field through her binoculars. She had already studied the area of the attack and had a pretty good picture of what had happened. She had even found loose hairs on the tree she had concluded the attacker fired the arrow from and had sent them to Sierra-Alpha for analysis. The results wouldn't come back for a few hours, so she decided to stop by the police station and see what other info the detectives had found. She turned to leave while taking out an authentic looking badge of the National Public Safety Commission, the entity charged with maintaining the neutrality of the Japanese police force, and snapping it to her belt. *

[Raine]

*Rina kept walking till she bump into kimara,they both stumble back a little*

Rina:Kima-chan i was looking all over for you...

Kimara:don't have time to talk Rina i have to find Daiki-kun...

Rina:Kima...you should be carefu-

Kimara:he didn't do it!!!Don't tell me you believe he would too!!!

Rina:i didn't say that he is....but what if he is...i just hope you won't get hurt we know so little abou-

Kimara:well RIna we know so little about hideki-sempai....how do you know he isn't as bad as the attacker!
*Kimara snap back at her,she look at kimara a bit upset because everyone seem to be snapping at her and all she is doing being an inocent bystander keeping the peace,she saw how kimara''s eyes seems sad and she knew she didn't mean it thats why she didn't bother to reply or stop her from running away from her,she sigh*
