(Don Reid - Harold Reid - Larry Lee) Statler Brothers

Saturday morning serials, chapters 1 through 15
Fly paper, penny loafers, Lucky Strike Green
Flat tops, sock hops, Studebaker, Pepsi please
Ah, do you remember these?

Cigar bands on your hand, your daddy's socks rolled down
Sticks, snow floats and aviator caps with flaps that button down
Movie stars on Dixie Cup tops and knickers to your knees
Ah, do you remember these?

The hit parade, grape Tru-Aid, The Sadie Hawkins Dance
Pedal pushers, duck tail hair and peggin' your pants
Howdie-Doodie, Tutti-Frutti, the seam up the back of her hose
Ah, do you remember those?

James Dean he was keen, Sunday movies were taboo
The Senior Prom, Judy's mom, rock and roll was new
Cracker Jack prize, stars in your eyes, ask daddy for the keys
Ah, do you remember these?

The boogey man, lemonade stand and takin' your tonsils out
Hindenburg and wait your turn and four foul balls you're out
Cigarette loads and secret codes and savin' lucky stars
Can you remember back that far?

The boat neck shirts and fender skirts and crinoline petticoats
Mum's the word and a dirty bird and a double root beer float
Moon hub caps and loud heel taps and he's a real gone cat
Ah, do you remember that?

Dancin' close, little moron jokes and cooties in her hair
Captain Midnight, Ovaltine and The Whip at the County Fair
Charles Atlas Course, Roy Roger's Horse and Only The Shadow Knows
Ah, do you remember those?

Gable's charm, Frog in your arm, loud mufflers, pitchin' woo
Going steady, Veronica and Betty, white bucks and Blue Suede Shoes
Knock Knock jokes and who's there, Dewey Dewey who
Do we remember these, yes, we do.

Ah, do we do we remember these?...

Yes, I remember quite a few of them.

nice Kira. :gg:

here's a really good song! it's one of my favorites ^^

My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words lyrics

Now I know,
That I can't make you stay.
But where's your heart?
But where's your heart?
But where's your,

And I know.
There's nothing I can say.
To change that part.
To change that part.
To change.

So many,
Bright lights to cast a shadow,
But can I speak?
Well is it hard understanding?
I'm incomplete.
A life that's so demanding,
I get so weak.
A love that's so demanding,
I can't speak.

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home.

Can you see?
My eyes are shining bright,
'Cause I'm out here, on the other side,
Of a jet black hotel mirror,
And I'm so weak.
Is it hard understanding?
I'm incomplete.
A love that's so demanding,
I get weak.

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home.

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,

Nothing you can say can stop me going home.

These bright lights have always blinded me.
These bright lights have always blinded me.

I say.

Honey, I see you lying next to me,
With words I thought I'd never speak,
Awake, and unafraid.
Asleep, or dead.

'Cause I see you lying next to me,
With words I thought I'd never speak,
Awake, and unafraid.
Asleep, or dead.

'Cause I see you lying next to me,
With words I thought I'd never speak,
Awake, and unafraid.
Asleep, or dead.

'Cause I see you lying next to me,
With words I thought I'd never speak,
Awake, and unafraid.

Asleep, or dead...

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone

Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
(Or dead)
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home.

I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
(Or dead)
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home.

For some reason, I like the opening song to Noir. I know some people think it's awful, but to each his own. Really, Noir has some wonderful music and great lyrics.

http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/noir/
(Anime) Noir: KOPPERIA no Hitsugi (Copellia's Coffin)

Opening Theme

KOPPERIA no hitsugi
nagareru namida wa mou karehate
chi ni ueta kodoku
shi wa tenshi no nikoge no
nioi wo sasete mau
(The flowing tears are completely withered
The loneliness that thirsts for blood
Death dances, bringing the scent
Of the soft hair of angels)

kuroi taiyou ga
shizumanu machi de
daremo ga damatte
kijutsumeki hataraku
(In the town where
The black sun doesn't set
Everyone is silent,
Working as if magical [1])

kinzoku no kabe ni
kakowareta heya
watashi wa asa made
shinda you ni nemuru
( In the room enclosed
By metal walls
I sleep as if dead
Until morning)

anata ga    mienai
kono me wa    mienai
warera tsukuri tamaishi kami
( I can't see you
I can't see with these eyes
The god that created us from pebbles)

KOPPERIA no hitsugi
hito wa odori-tsukareta ningyou
saidan no hitsuji
kikai jikake no yume wa
doko ni mukatte yuku
(Coppelia's Coffin
People are dolls tired from dancing
Sheep on the altar
The mechanical dreams
Where are they headed?)

sekai no owari wo
yogen ga tsugeru
rinjin no tobira wo
heishi-tachi ga tataku
( Announcing predictions
Of the end of the world
At the doors of neighbors,
Soldiers are pounding)

ikusen no yubi ga
tsubasa no you ni
orare tatamarete
inori dake ga noboru
(Thousands of fingers
Are folded
Like wings
And only their prayers ascend)

anata ni    aenai
koko de wa    aenai
warera sukui tamaeru kami
(I can't meet you
I can't meet here
The god that can grant us salvation)

KOPPERIA no hitsugi
nagareru namida wa mou karehate
chi ni ueta kodoku
shi wa tenshi no nikoge no
nioi wo sasete mau
(Coppellia's Coffin
The flowing tears are completely withered
The loneliness that thirsts for blood
Death dances, bringing the scent
Of the soft hair of angels)

sore demo    furetai
kono te de    tsukamitai
warera mamoru yuiitsu no ai
(Even so, I want to touch
Want to capture with these hands
The unique love that protects us)

KOPPERIA no kodou
ikiru koto wa itami wo shiru koto
nugisuteta kutsu wo
mou ichido fuminarashi
mayowazu arukidasu
(Coppelia's Heartbeat
To live is to know pain
With the shoes I cast off
Again I beat a path
And set out without doubt)

KOPPERIA no hitsugi
kurayami kara mezameru hikari yo
saidan no hitsuji
NEJI no togireta yume wa
doko ni mukatte yuku
(Coppelia's Coffin
O light that awakes from darkness
Sheep on the altar
The dream whose screw has stopped [2]
Where is it headed?)

Hidden track from Pink's new ablum "I'm not dead", called "I have seen the rain". Written by her dad (Vietnam vet)":

I have seen the rain
I have felt the pain
I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
I don't know where I'm going
I don't even know where I've been
But I know I'd like to see them again

Spend my days just searching
Spend my nights in dreams
Stop looking over my shoulder,baby,
I stopped wondering what it means.
Drop out, burn out, sold your home
Oh they said I should've been more
Probably so if I hadn't been in that crazy damn Vietnam war

I have seen the rain
I survived the pain
Oh I've been home 30 years or so
And I'm just stepping off of the plane

Spend my days in searching
Spend my nights in dreams
Stop looking over my shoulder,baby,
I stopped wondering what it means.
Drop out, burn out, sold your home
Oh they said I should've been more
Probably so if I hadn't been in that crazy damn Vietnam war

We have seen the rain together
We survived the pain forever
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to be with my friends
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to feel the rain
.....sometimes you have to lose your mind to find it......

From the guessing game, just love this song.

Moody Blues
Album: Sur La Mer
Song: I Know You're Out There Somewhere
(Justin Hayward)

I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere somewhere
I know I'll find you somewhere
And somehow I'll return again to you

The mist is lifting slowly
I can see the way ahead
And I've left behind the empty streets
That once inspired my life
And the strength of the emotion
Is like thunder in the air
'Cos the promise that we made each other
Haunts me to the end

CHORUS
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere somewhere
I know you're out there somewhere
Somewhere you can hear my voice
I know I'll find you somehow
Somehow somehow
I know I'll find you somehow
And somehow I'll return again to you

The secret of your beauty
And the mystery of your soul
I've been searching for in everyone I meet
And the times I've been mistaken
It's impossible to say
And the grass is growing
Underneath our feet

CHORUS

The words that I remember
>From my childhood still are true
That there's none so blind
As those who will not see
And to those who lack the courage
And say it's dangerous to try
Well they just don't know
That love eternal will not be denied

CHORUS

You know it's going to happen
I can feel you getting near
And soon we'll be returning
To the fountains of our youth
And if you wake up wondering
In the darkness I'll be there
My arms will close around you
And protect you with the truth

CHORUS

Ditto with gpa and the OST of Noir. Here's my favorite from that anime and Kirika's theme song:

Kaijura Ayuki - Canta Per Me

Canta per me ne addio
quel dolce suono
de' passati giorni
mi sempre rammenta

La vita dell'amore
dilette del cor mio
o felice, tu anima mia
canta addagio...

Tempra la cetra e canta
il inno di morte
a noi si schiude il ciel
volano al raggio

La vita dell'amore
dilette del cor mio
o felice, tu anima mia
canta addio...
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph... because good is DUMB!

One of my favorites, Zera. Here's a translation of the Latin.

canta per me ne addio
quel dolce suono
de' passati giorni
mi sempre rammenta
(Sing for me farewell
that sweet sound
of the past days
it is always remembered by me)

la vita dell'amore
dilette del cor mio
o felice, tu anima mia
canta addagio...
(the life of love
beloveds of my heart
oh happy, you of my soul
sing slowly...)

tempra la cetra e canta
il inno di morte
a noi si schiude il ciel
volano al raggio
(strengthen your lyre and sing
the hymn of death
the sky opens to us
they fly to the sun)

la vita dell'amore
dilette del cor mio
o felice, tu anima mia
canta addio...
(the life of love
beloveds of my heart
oh happy, you of my soul
sing farewell...)

I always thought Canta Per Me was in Italian?
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph... because good is DUMB!

I'm not exactly sure, Latin and Italian are similar. It's been 35 years since I last studied Latin.
