Re: Greetings! (Intro and Favorites)
That would be something very interesting to research, I'd love to find the reasoning behind it because it is (in most cases) very true. Now I feel like asking a random series of questions to every anime fan that I know in order to find out the patterns in their lives.Sakura wrote:I wonder why so many female anime fans are underweight
And I also wonder why the male anime fans are overweight
Re: Greetings! (Intro and Favorites)
My body is perfect (male as well as athletic), and I like anime. So much for that.
That one time I was at an anime convention most people were standard sized, the girl we had with us was overweight, all our boys were less than overweight. I bet it doesn't matter if someone likes anime or not, that shouldn't affect their weight (i.e. same percentage or even more of overweight people in a country's population compared to an anime population).

"As far as I'm concerned, if something is so complicated that you can't explain it in 10 seconds, then it's probably not worth knowing anyway

My doc is very pleased because I keep my 95 pounds of weight. Well I'm drinking one or two glasses of water whenever visiting her. I feel good. I could also imagine not wearing high heels when measuring my shortness.

.....sometimes you have to lose your mind to find it......
Re: Greetings! (Intro and Favorites)
My guess is that female anime fans tend to imitate the behavior of anime characters which is that of seriously (better: critically) underweight people. There again we have the problem of keeping fiction and fantasy apart. Ok now I need to walk my 10 meter tall Ninja Destruction Robot, see you later

after which they get really fat before going back to normal a few seconds later. This leads me to believe that most anime characters have extremely high metabolisms.
